That’s not really how it happened. In WWI, the US entered mainly because German submarines were sinking neutral shipping and threatening American interests, not to ‘save’ Europe. In WWII, the US entered because Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The US declared war on Japan, and only then did Germany declare war on the US. Washington didn’t even start the war with Germany. So the US didn’t jump in to rescue Europe. It entered two global wars because its own security and interests were directly hit, then it fought alongside Europeans who had already been at war and dying for years.
