Interesting eBay interaction: seller has a card priced over 10x the value. I send a message asking if he has a price in mind that he’d accept for the card. He says that he’s received many offers and that I can throw my offer out there, but that he would tell me nothing about any other offers he’s received. I tell him it’s hard to negotiate when both sides done have a starting point and I don’t want to bid against myself. He said if I don’t have an offer to send to never contact him again. Am I in the wrong here?

Just don’t have the manpower to respond. Feedback doesn’t matter to them either. They aren’t losing or gaining any business either way.

Feels like @eBay could do a lot better w/ accountability for having volume consigners disclose damage on items. I know I’m not the only one. This was 2 business days after receipt. Smh @dcsports87, yall should do better than canned replies for volume customers 🤦 @CardPurchaser

@yanxchick @indycarcards @eBay fees are the biggest con of selling on the platform. You pay to get all the eyes on your cards. The largest reach of any platform for selling. Shipping is crazy but utilizing ESE is essential and you can always include fees and shipping in your price.

@itsgeoffwilson @Mike__McKenna It’s not just that the card wasn’t still in a box. It’s also how out of touch you are with the hobby and more worried about making content than anything else. I get it, it pays you but when it comes to anything hobby advice, news, etc, you’re the last one anyone should look to.

Just wanted to spread the word that @eBay is now reflexively charging the “ad fee” on ALL items you sell via “promoted listings” regardless if the item is bought through an advertisement or not @CardPurchaser . Maybe I missed the news but did not know and found out on this sale that I just randomly looked at and could not believe the fees (I usually do a small percentage and this one was set to 13% so I was really really surprised 😱). When is enough enough FeeBay?

@TheRealOmegaDad @eBay @CardPurchaser It’s not on all. If a person clicks on any of your promoted listings and buys something within 30 days, it gets hit with the fee. If someone just comes across one of your listings organically and buys, you’re not charged a fee.
