All these posts about the corn crop quality are funny because it wouldn’t fucking matter if folks just decided to grow a few acres of something different. Take 1/3 of your acres and grow something else, or better yet, take 2/3 of your acres and replant to grass and invest in fence and water, and trade in one of your combines for a herd of cattle. Use the 1/3 remaining to feed those babies and the land itself, and you wouldn’t have to worry about corn quality or prices ever again, and you’d also have protein security forever. As soon as I can, I’m buying more land and my first small herd. Don’t care what the price is when it happens, because that’s all in fiat anyways, and we’re gong to continue to inflate, so it doesn’t matter. Land and cattle. Flowers and chickens. Bitcoin and a nice farmstead. That’s my plan. And if a few of you didn’t same, nobody would ever be worried about the corn crop again. Enjoy the day! 🇺🇸 Godspeed.

@farmerjim13 i think ideal spacing for corn in a row is 7", so spacing would be the issue more than rate is i think why it would not turn out well.

This is completely outside the box, but bear with me. Has anybody tried drilling corn with a CCS type airseeder? I know it's not the right tool for the job, but curiosity is killing me. It wouldn't be singulated, but the rate should be very accurate meter to meter.

Well it doesn’t work all the time but we got a great catch of rye in this field. Flown on sept 13 at 30lbs this will be a nice green seeded soybean field in the spring. Oh by the way the notill corn is #Awsome #Notill #covercrops #Rootsnotiron

Yesterday our team put virtual fence collars on cows at the NDSU Beef Unit. This cows started their 4 day training period this morning. We are excited to test this technology in an integrated crop livestock system. @NDSUcattle
