Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has called for an outright ban on early morning pre-flight pints at airport bars. He said he “fails to understand” why anyone is served beer at 5 or 6am and wants alcohol sales restricted to normal licensing hours only. O’Leary has long demanded a strict two-drink limit per passenger. He revealed Ryanair is now forced to divert flights almost daily because of drunken and aggressive passengers – up from once a week a decade ago. The boss accused airports of “profiteering” by pushing early booze and exporting the chaos to airlines. Critics argue: "Drunks shouldn’t be allowed to board in the first place.
