Remember when Bergkamp scored a goal so good, that he himself was left speechless 🤭🔥

Running out of words for this team and squad. Mid season we were drifting a little, conceding too easily and lacking confidence. Looked as though the curse of Europe had struck.
Nope, come back winning key games at home and abroad, got off the canvas to beat PSG ( forget the loss over two games, they proved to themselves they belonged at that level), and looked today like the team who'd won a Cup without any European distraction.
The run in is so under talked about in punditry but it is the biggest test in my opinion in any world sporting league. The easy" run in finds many out along with nerves and running on empty, while tough run ins can be a great tonic because you don't have to motivate yourself. Villa very much showing the latter.
Energy levels alone today were outstanding as well as a new found steel and spite, along with a renewed defensive attention to detail, tackles and turnovers aplenty.
If I'm a player, I don't want to face Villa now in this run in, they're in such a groove that unless you're A1 they'll hurt you in 60 minutes or from a now strong bench, and they'll make you chase shadows, something they didn't do early season.
Let other clubs supporters talk about easy run ins, in my experience there's no such thing, even one team you're supposed " to be demolishing taking a point at this stage, with 6 in a pack could be disastrous. Likewise losing a game, thinking it's over but nicking a last match point that could be a lifesaver. It's just about staying in it at this point.
If they carry on like this they'll officially be my second favourite ever Villa team( after 81/82) , and trust me that doesn't come out of the mouth lightly.
They just keep setting their own standards, and long may it continue.
To Manchester.

Grand National day.
For us that live and breathe horse racing, this day can be an emotional roller coaster. Excitement, nerves, frustration, upset, elation, relief.
In amongst all of it, don't forget one key truth. The annual rabble-rousers will fire their shots at our sport in pursuit of cheap publicity again, but by tomorrow morning the vast majority of them will have moved on to something else until next year.
We'll still be here, caring for and loving our horses and our sport every day.
Take a breath. Direct them to the facts (horsepwr.co.uk). Don't let them wind you up.
We've got this.
