@Alan__Shatter Isn't it amazing how Ireland gets the blame for evetything. You'll be blaming the gov on earthquakes in Indonesia next.

It’s happening all over Europe & Ireland is in the vanguard. Why? Because as each antisemitic event occurs all members of Leinster House avert their eyes. And a state body , the National Concert Hall , cancelling an Irish Charity fundraiser, to benefit a life saving Israeli medical response service, representative of every Israeli community, that serves every such community & is connected to Ireland’s Jewish community, elicits no political intervention or media condemnation. Not even the governments appointed official antisemitism Tsar has anything publicly to say proving his position is mere political decoration. Antisemitism is now normalised & systemic in Ireland.

@Alan__Shatter A post created by an @idf member who probably shoots Gazan children for target practice. Where's the outcry from the Irish Gov, and indeed @Alan__Shatter, for the murder of the children of Gaza?

Trump is abhorrent, but a genius, writes Matt Syed in the Sunday Times. He got the vibes of the public - their hatred of the progressiveism foisted on them. He has no morality, but he has bent history’s arc in his favour. And hugely enriched his family.

Happy to deliver a lecture/talk to explain the stark differences between Ireland & Palestine, the conflict on this island & the Israeli Palestinian conflict, the entirely different historical background & the different range of complexities, the reasons why our conflict ended & Israeli/ Palestinian conflict continues. .What do you say Maynooth University Faculty of Social Studies? Any interest in academic & factual discourse?
Jonathan Eric Lewis@LewisJonathanE

I see that Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi just gave a talk to an Irish university audience, in which he compared Ireland with Palestine I'm sure the audience lapped it up - uncritically and without the slightest degree of skepticism

@rtenews I dealt with a few Indian docs many years ago. They were excellent just like their Irish colleagues. I can't either were perfect but they worked tirelessly for solutions to complex diseases.

@rtenews It's bloody relentless at this stage. They are absolutely everywhere all of a sudden: the Bus Eireann customer care line, the sandwich guy on the train, every Spar and garage. Every skilled visa will bring a gang of unskilled spouses and relatives to mop up every single job.

@Alan__Shatter Yawn indeed. You forgot to mention the regime of your close friend, and leader of the ethnic cleansing, Bibi. His cancel culture involves murdering non-Israelis on a daily basis.

Yawn. What’s new? Wasn’t that previously announced? Censorship & cancel culture reigns supreme. What’s the alternative? Maybe a Kneecap concert to celebrate the Nova Music Festival massacre festooned with Hamas flags? Are those on about boycotting Eurovision going to go door to door in balaclavas to beat up on those watching it on BBC? Has the boycott ended all conflict in the Middle East? Will the balaclavas have a tricolour? When will RTE surrender to the boycott police & announce it will not broadcast Ireland v Israel EUFA matches? When will RTE start boycotting all sport at the Aviva Stadium because it is hosting the Ireland v Israel match? When will RTE stop using Israeli tech for its outside broadcasts? Have RTE presenters yet stopped eating Israeli avocados? How about dates? When will RTE newsreaders stop saying Israel & just reference it as “ the entity”? So many questions.

🇮🇪 RTE will also not broadcast #Eurovision 2026 this year, same as RTVE & RTV SLO

@Toibin1 If they sat their tractors and trucks on the road, they deserved tickets and should face the courts if they refuse to pay. Cop on Peadar, there was no need to shut the country down just because they wantes a few days off.

@rtenews And qhat is an important note here? The IDF came forward, candidly, admitted it occurred and then apologised. Other armies, especially enemies of the Open Society, just wouldn't do that. 👍🐋

So many posts of our Foreign Minister together with other EU states totally irrelevant to resolving Middle East conflict but this one beyond irrelevance. No reference to the historical first direct talks in decades yesterday in Washington between Lebanon & Israel mediated by the US, the joint acknowledgement of the malevolent role of Hezbollah as Iran’s proxy in continuing conflict & the commitment to further talks to effect a permanent peace. What is the purpose of these attention seeking, inconsequential, irrelevant social media posts & ministerial statements beyond a pretence at relevance to uninformed sections of the media & public to try & secure politically opportunistic broadcast media interviews & waffle?

I have spoken to the protesters today. They are willing to allow 10 loads of fuel out of Whitegate today for emergency services. This could increase tomorrow if there are positive results from the talks today. The government must engage.

Given the ongoing uncertainty regarding potential disruption to the national roads network, we have taken the decision to postpone all LOI Academy fixtures scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 11 April 2026. This decision has been made to provide clubs with early clarity and to ensure that those requiring coach travel have sufficient notice to cancel bookings without incurring unnecessary costs. We will review the status of Sunday’s fixtures tomorrow afternoon and will communicate a further update to clubs in due course.

The government has decided to pepper spray citizens before speaking to them. This government is fuelling discontent rather than reducing tensions. The opposition should call a motion of no confidence in this government.
