*THE EFFECT OF THE ROT IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM*
Did you listen to the 40 year old CEO of Moniepoint, Tosin Eniolorunda speak at the Platform yesterday?
He made a statement that didn't let me sleep all night. Not as if I was entirely surprised. But it once again stirred the difficult truth for our young people.
He said they had over 500 vacancies they could not fill because they struggled to find enough Nigerians qualified enough to fill those roles.
Think about that for a moment.
In a country where millions are looking for jobs, a company still cannot find enough qualified people to employ.
We are talking about a company willing to pay millions as monthly salary for those roles.
That is painful.
According to him, there are several reasons for this, including:
👉Our broken educational system,
👉Social media distraction,
👉The hookup lifestyle,
👉The Yahoo lifestyle, and
👉A creeping culture of laziness.
If you are someone who pays attention you already know that this is just the simple truth.
Let's start with the educational system.
80% of people gaining admission to the university today cannot pass SS1 exam let alone WAEC and JAMB.
Their parents bought the results and admission for them.
Now, when they get into the university, what are they being taught? Very outdated and irrelevant curriculum.
Talk about social media distraction.
In the last two days, I have seen many youths busy looking for videos of whoever in 3sum. You see a jobless graduate going from blog to blog, from post to post, looking for s€x tape - very unfortunate.
This morning, it is Portable and the other one that all of them are talking about. Celebrity lifestyle is a serious threat to personal growth.
Skits on ny@$h and bress get millions of views, while no one cares to read intellectual content.
Parents now pay money for Yahoo boys to coach their children.
I can go on and on to show you how true Tosin's presentation is. But let me hold on here.
And honestly, this problem does not start when people become adults.
It starts from childhood. It starts from teenage age.
It starts from what children are exposed to.
What they celebrate.
What they consume daily.
What they are trained to value.
Many parents are preparing children only to pass exams and for fun.
But the world has changed.
The future will reward children who can think, create, communicate, solve problems, use technology, manage money, and build things.
Yet many teenagers of secondary school age and even undergraduates today spend hours watching prank videos, endless comedy skits, gossip content, and random entertainment that adds nothing to their growth.
A teenager can name 30 celebrities. He can mention all the hit songs released by Davido and Flavour.
But cannot explain what an asset is.
A child can spend 5 hours on a phone…
But cannot confidently use a computer.
A child can memorize song lyrics…
But has never tried selling anything, creating anything, or solving a simple real-life problem.
A 27 year old graduate knows all the comedy shows happening this year, but does not even know the event called "The Platform".
Are we seeing the danger?
We are raising children in the middle of the greatest information age in human history…
Yet many are growing up without direction, curiosity, discipline, or valuable skills.
That is why Kidpreneurship matters.
Because the goal is not just to make children start businesses, but to divert the direction of their thinking.
The goal is to raise children who can survive, think independently, create opportunities, and compete globally.
Children who know that:
• Money is earned through value.
• Skills matter.
• Character matters.
• Discipline matters.
• Creativity matters.
• Consistency matters.
Let me simplify it for parents.
If you want to prepare your child for the future.
Children who will not be unemployment casualties.
Children who will be ready for global opportunities like the one

🎙️| Everton Manager David Moyes on Everton’s Performance tonight: 💣
🗣️ “I’ve always said Mikel is like a son to me, more than just a former captain, he’s a football son. And today, that result was for him. even though not the result we wanted, I feel gutted, to concede that late equalizer at that late in time, it hurts but we take it. I told the boys before we went out there that I would rather die dancing than see Manchester City walk away with three points at our expense. I did everything in my power for Mikel and the Gunners, I’ve done my part for Arsenal. Now my only hope is that they go on, finish the job, and lift that trophy. The league title belongs in his hands. He deserves it”

NATIONAL CONFAB 2014: YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT TINUBU IS DOING UNTIL YOU READ THIS POST.
If you really want to understand what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing, stop reacting only to headlines and go back to Nigeria’s long history of constitutional conferences.
Many of you GENZs and others I call "emergency patriots" just woke up in 2023.
And to you that's enough to understand and judge rightly what Nigeria's problems are.
Many of you don't even know why Nigeria is where it is in.
Go back to the history of constitutional conferences in Nigeria, you'll understand.
Because the truth is simple—and uncomfortable:
Nigeria has already diagnosed its problems many times.
From the Ibadan Constitutional Conference of 1950 to the 2014 National Conference, the same issues have been raised over and over again:
- Too much power concentrated in Abuja.
- Weak, dependent states.
- Resource control and revenue imbalance.
- Lack of true federalism
- Overloaded Exclusive List
- Security architecture that is too centralized.
- Political structure that discourages productivity.
Different eras.
Same diagnosis.
Now here’s where it gets interesting…
Leaders before today didn’t ignore these problems.
Many of them actually set up conferences to discuss and document solutions:
Under Olusegun Obasanjo — the National Political Reform Conference 2005.
Under Goodluck Jonathan — the 2014 National Conference.
Under Ibrahim Babangida — political bureaus and constitutional debates.
Even under Sani Abacha — the Constitutional Conference 1994–1995.
They all talked.
They all debated.
They all produced reports.
Documents were written.
Committees sat.
Delegates argued.
But implementation?
That’s where Nigeria always stalled.
Because vested interests sat on the recommendations and the leaders were afraid to go against them.
Now look at today.
Without calling a big national conference, reforms are happening that touch on the same core issues those confabs identified decades ago:
Fuel subsidy removal and correcting fiscal imbalance and freeing state finances.
Exchange rate unification and addressing structural distortions in the economy.
Tax and revenue reforms and pushing toward a more sustainable fiscal system.
Pushing towards State Policing and decentralisation of security
Local government financial autonomy.
Focus on subnational viability and forcing states to think beyond federal allocation.
You may not like the approach.
You may disagree with the speed.
But don’t pretend the direction is new.
Here’s the blunt truth many people don’t want to hear:
Many Nigerians don’t actually understand the country’s core structural problems—yet they argue the loudest.
We shout “things are hard” (they are), but ignore why the system has been unsustainable for decades.
We demand change, but resist the consequences of fixing what is broken.
Go back and read the confab reports.
You’ll see clearly:
Nigeria’s problem has never been a lack of ideas.
It has never been a lack of recommendations.
It has always been a lack of political will to implement them.
So before you dismiss everything happening today, ask yourself:
Are these reforms addressing issues Nigeria has debated since the 1950s?
Are these the same structural weaknesses identified repeatedly across conferences?
And if yes… then what exactly are we arguing against?
You don’t have to agree with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
But at least understand this:
Nigeria is not experimenting.
Nigeria is finally confronting long-identified problems.
History has been speaking for over 70 years.
Maybe it’s time we listened.

So, it’s no longer news giringori has moved to a new party. That’s fine and a move that was anticipated cos we all know that Adamawa man won’t hand him the ticket.
I guess they are back to structure of criminality since the saint has now cut ties with the Adc it becomes a structure of criminality.
Let’s think about this for a moment, in his recent move which of his allies or old friend known with him as a politician moved with him? He has a crowd that moves wherever he sways but which political ally or old friend moved with him? None!
It tells you about the character of the man you’re all painting him to be, he was once a governor and till this time he doesnt have anyone from his cabinet who still stands by him or shows support for him openly.
This tells you about his style of politics if you’re a thinker and someone who’s not moved by sentiments. Yes everyone has a right to their political view and support whatever party they wish, I am not one to tell you what’s good and what’s not.
But, if you’re a thinker you’d know how to separate sentiments from actual reasonings. I hope you get the point I am trying to make.

I’m not a wicked mother, she started following boys, became rude and stopped listening to me. If I ask her to do anything she won’t do it. I wanted to scold her but I overeacted.
Mrs. Okezie told the court before she was remanded in Kirikiri, pending DPP’s advice.
The lady is a single mother of 4, her name is Augustina Okezie, 46. Her landlord never reported to police because they’re church members, even though she’s been abusing the kids for years.
Before this viral footage, she already smashed a bottle on her d@ughters head inside the room, the teenager’s scream alerted neighbors on time for a rescue, as her 46yo mom was about to st@b her with the broken pieces.
When they got outside, neighbors separated them. Then Mrs. Okezie pulled a kitchen knife and swore she would k!ll her teenage daughter. As we initially reported, Mrs. Okezie inflicted minor lacerations on her kid.
She later attacked the neighbor who made the video and then stylishly ran away, but LSNC successfully traced and apprehended her, before handing over to the police.
According to sources close to the family, her husband left due to her v!ol£nt and volatile character. He took two children and left her with two.
The Lagos State Government has now taken custody of the two children, the 15-year-old g!rl and her brother.
