While encouragement initiatives are important, what is truly needed is more safe routes for children to walk and bike.
Let's focus less on what kids wear and instead focus more on where they can safely ride.

As we celebrate #GoByBikeBC this week, let’s focus less on “encouraging” kids to ride and ask what our elected leaders and engineers are doing to *enable* them to ride safely on our streets. Safety comes with proper infrastructure, not helmets or reflective clothing.
