Can we get a truck that normal people can afford and would want for work and driving around? The Cybertruck was a quirky project for wealthy people with money to burn, but regular people drive trucks for more practical purposes. Making a Tesla truck that could actually replace a Ford, Chevy, etc. would be like printing money.

I keep seeing Tesla fans shitting on Ford saying “no this is what happens when you make shitty EVs” Let’s be clear. The F-150 was not a shitty EV. It in fact outsold the Cybertruck before its demise. But not by a lot. Neither Cybertruck sales nor Lightning sales were / are great if we are being honest. And no they aren’t “too expensive” vs their gas counterparts. You can EASILY option gas F-150s upwards of $100k. The theory in the early day was that the F-150 was going to crush Cybertruck sals due to its traditional design. But it didn’t sell well despite the traditional design so clearly it isn’t that as we have two comparable electric trucks with wildly different designs selling about the same. The only conclusion I can reach is that “truck guys” are just retarded and insecure. It’s a “masculine” crowd and for the last decade the masculine crowd have been equating EVs with Prius’s. I’ll say it. I think the lack of significant sales of both Lightning and Cybertruck is more to do with masculine “truck guys” not wanting to be made fun of and called gay by their masculine truck guy friends than anything else. These retards have no problem dropping $80-100k on gas trucks like Raptor Rs and King Ranch’s. So it’s not the price. In fact the AVERAGE selling price of a gas F-150 in 2025 is $60k. That’s the AVERAGE. So lots and lots sold for Cybertruck prices and high end Lightning prices. I think Elon knew this. I think that’s why he told Franz to make the Cybertruck as tough as possible with bulletproof steel and hardened glass and shit. He knew an EV truck would be a tough sell to the toxic masculinity truck guy crowd who think EVs are “ghey”. And he ALMOST did it. But then that coked up diesel monkey dropped a Cybertruck off a 6ft cliff onto a cement ledge and broke its rear casting. And just like that the bulletproof bad ass truck became “ghey” just like all other EV trucks. It really sucks that it probably really IS that simple. The cost savings of the EV truck couldn’t overcome “ghey” with toxic masculinity truck guys who would rather drive a house payment than be called “gay” by their friends. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 /FIN
