From 2015 she was in complete control of the SNP but chose to do no work whatsoever on independence, despite the open doors of Brexit and continuing leadership crises in the Westminster government. Her main talent as SNP leader was to explain why now wasn't the time for another independence campaign or referendum. She made rockstar-like appearances at party conferences and made big announcements which mostly came to nothing. All this boosted her own ego, but achieved nothing of substance and she was ruthless in getting rid of anyone who tried to point it out. So please stop coming up with fake “Exclusive” stories trying to make excuses for this appalling, narcissist who has been betrayed by nobody but who has betrayed every voter in Scotland, whether they supported independence or just wanted their country to be well run and fair.
