Schools spend hours trying to “reach” the kid who openly doesn’t care, while the kid who tries every day quietly gets ignored. We’re exhausting ourselves chasing resistance instead of investing in effort.

Dawn Staley with a message to parents: Overprotected kids become unprepared adults. DEEP.

Yes or No. With 3 straight NCAA championships and 6 NBA championships, is Kareem Abdul Jabbar the greatest basketball player of all time?🧐

During my first year of teaching, there was a veteran teacher near my classroom with nearly thirty years of experience. She was methodical, well prepared, deeply professional, and ran a calm, well-managed classroom. One day, I watched our assistant principal—someone who hadn’t taught in a classroom for over a decade—reprimand her for the way she managed her students. I was stunned. Sadly, this wasn’t an isolated moment. It reflects a pattern that shows up far too often in education: veteran teachers being treated like children by people who haven’t run a classroom in years.

Back in 1982, Larry Bird was making $650,000… and people called him OVERPAID. His response? “I give people their money’s worth. If I don’t play hard, I’m cheating the fans, my teammates, and myself.” No load management. No excuses. Just pride, effort, and accountability. That’s superstar mentality. Different era. Different standard. What do you think?

A teacher friend made 2025 his last teaching year (8 years early). I asked him why, he said -Class sizes are ridiculous -Too much testing -Admin was overwhelmed & not helpful 😨 -Salary didn’t keep up w growing expenses -Zero accountability for parents & students 🙁

El maravilloso mundo de la NBA, o cuando cualquier parecido con el baloncesto es mera coincidencia. ¡Esto es buenísimo!

Literally every guy in this photo is a Hall of Famer, they never heard the word “flop” in their lives, and they’re all ready to fucking fight each other. Don’t tell me basketball is better now.
