@RyanDivish I actually laugh at the way "fans" say the same thing every year when we start slow. The reactions are pretty much copy and paste every year.

We appear to have reached the point where there are more people hate-tweeting about fans saying "it's early" vs. the actual fans saying "it's early." For most of the day, I continued to think it was Thursday and didn't figure out the date till about an hour ago.

@tsauce7 Today was exactly what I expected. Detroit isn't going down without a fight. And our team is going to make us panic all the way through game 7 of the World Series. But I believe we'll take it all! My forecast is a walk-off win in the 12th Friday.

I see a lot of people saying turn off notifications but I’d like to say this, I keep them partially open because I like interacting with fans. Today was an example of going too far. No matter the reason we cannot send this stuff especially to people not involved. I share the same exact love you all do for the Mariners. Ever since I was kid it’s the only team I’ve ever loved. I totally understand that there is more good people on the internet then there is bad and if I’m ready to receive the praise then I better welcome the criticism as well. So I won’t run from the critics that’s part of it and if I don’t like it then well I just have to play better. I didn’t get to where I am today because I only reveled in praise but because I got real comfortable with failure. I won’t let a few bad apples ruin that for me and everyone else I’ve gotten to know since my time here. I’ve already played 9 innings with my mental health and won that, so there’s nothing people can tell me that I’ve already told myself. With anything we keep it moving forward! Thank you all for the love as always. Go Mariners always!

@Jedi_Rob @violetssmith @KING5Seattle Force is often required when making an arrest. Those policies in the links I posted specify to avoid arresting in order to avoid using force except in specific circumstances. They are to use methods other than arrest to de-escalate the situation whenever possible.

@Jedi_Rob @violetssmith @KING5Seattle Furthermore, as an aside from the actual policies, I've spoken to several officers recently connected to stolen cars. On the rare occasions they actually arrest someone for something, the court instantly releases them with a future court date which they simply don't show up for.

If it isn't immediately violent, police should use tactics to encourage them to leave. That's what was done. Instead of confronting them directly, they created a path for them to depart.

Again, defund doesn't necessarily mean take away the money. It means reallocate the money. In those links, Tacoma Police have spent money to change their training

"Defunding the police would allow funds to be allocated to emergency response units operated by qualified mental health professionals with training in de-escalation techniques and resources for ongoing care."

@Jedi_Rob @violetssmith @KING5Seattle "Defund the police" doesn't necessarily mean abolishing police altogether, as many believe, but rather the reallocation of funds to focus on a less militaristic type of police force. More mental health training, de-escalation techniques that do not involve force, etc.

@Jedi_Rob @violetssmith @KING5Seattle It was voted with initiative 940. Then the state legislature approved HB 1310, requiring police departments to follow certain protocols. Tacoma Police Department's policy following those protocols went into effect 11/22/22. This is the result.

@HinrichsZane Maximum gross weight is the weight of the truck plus the weight of the trailer plus the weight of the cargo. The more the truck and trailer weigh, the less cargo it can haul. That's why you only see those huge sleepers hauling certain loads where weight isn't as important.

@HinrichsZane I keep seeing this about the Tesla being "fully loaded to maximum gross weight." My question that I've yet to see answered is specifically what is the weight of the cargo? In trucking, THAT'S the important number.

I had some thoughts about how to (safely) capture some video of the Tesla Semi vs diesel semi’s going up a steep grade. The average grade ascending the Donner Pass is 7% up to 16%. This is some of what I captured. #Tesla #teslasemi Tesla runs these semi’s daily, fully loaded up this grade and on other routes to uncover any issues and remediate them before they begin volume delivery.
