@SteveWarneMedia @realtorottawa1 Can we dispense with the "no one wants to see anyone get hurt" mantra every NHL player says after someone does get hurt. The entire purpose of a hit like that and the 50 others in a typical game is to hurt the other guy. It's never coming out of the game.

Ottawa is a funny team...they look like they are the road team withstanding the home crowd onslaught right now. Either they need adversity to turn it on or Carolina is that good...Will know in 2 hours.

Why they playing Canadien national anthem in Buffalo? Buffalo been out of the playoffs so long they forgot what country they live in?

@alleria_eh They borrow 1,000,000.00$ every hour to pay for these promises which is unsustainable. However, this nonsensical approach to governing is shared by both the left and the right, why?, because people buy into it. "ask not what your country can do for you...."

Dental plan, disability benefit increase, $10 a day childcare, pharmacare, more tax benefits, more taxes back, easier and free tax filings, 10 cents less on gas today, no industrial carbon tax, national food program, food rebates, etc. Those are just a few things Canadians got under a liberal government.

@dumoulin_nick 8 teams will be assessing why they are done for the year in a few weeks, if Ottawa is one of them everything will be looked at, but, without the serious injuries they had this is a 106 to 110 point team, you can go get a goal scorer but you have to give up an impact guy.

The amount of Canadian media coverage of Mark Carney these days that qualifies as hagiography -- originally 'holy writing' describing the lives of saints but today meaning uncritical and over-flattering commentary -- is pretty startling.

@MPelletierCIO Like who? 2.5billion a year promised to the media by the Libs and guaranteed removed by the Conservatives means you could trot Chretien out as the new CPC leader and 75% of the media would begin the work to explain why he's scary. You are not seeing a CPC govt anytime soon.

The problem with the CPC is that they lost control of the narrative as soon as Carney came into the equation. Poilievre was the right counter for Trudeau but is now the wrong one for Carney. In politics you have to pivot quickly, as evident by the brilliant move done by the LPC just over a year ago. With time, the economic results will reflect the policies of the new Carney majority whether it’s a weaker dollar or higher 10s. The CPC need to be ready to present someone as a credible alternative to Carney by putting politics aside and doing what’s right for the country.

My 3 yr old grandson jumped out of his mom's car yesterday running towards me with a giant smile on his face screaming "grandpa grandpa grandpa". I'm struggling how to tell both of my daughters that I only care about him now.

Roughly 40% of Canadians who would rank in the top 1% of earners have moved to the U.S., and 30 to 50% of next nine percentiles have as well, that is scary.
