July 10th 1976- Fire break out during the “World Series of Rock” concert at Comiskey Park. Three people, including a fireman, suffered smoke inhalation and were treated at a hospital. The concert continued after the blaze was extinguished, and billows of black smoke cleared.

@BSmile Growing up as a child, I called the White Sox office twice, just to comment (once wasto say I liked Jimmy Piersell on TV and ask that they not fire him). Both times the receptionist passed me straight through to Bill Veeck.
