IMO...horse racing is going downhill. The takeout is too high. You basically have to pick the stone cold winner to make money. The place and show prices suck. The prices for exactas suck and doubles. You are better off going to Hard Rock Casino and playing slot machines. At least you'll get drinks and give aways comped rooms and if your handle is up you'll get invited to the Icon Lounge.

@racetrackandy Also these race tracks don't promote food and beverage specials such as happy hour and do more track give aways. Also allow a family to bring in coolers to picnic. Have amusement rides in the picnic areas.

All of the efforts to bring new fans to the sport, to incentivize new owners, to grow new talent on and off track, it’s all for nothing if major cities keep losing their racetracks. Going to racetracks in person creates fans. You can’t recreate that experience.
