@BillyMerritt Loved it. Take Godzilla out of it entirely and it's still a pretty damn good movie (though it'd have to be a little less melodramatic in that case, which works better in a kaiju story).

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has the same tough task of any kaiju project which is making you interested in between the appearances of the creatures, but the real problem it doesn't quite solve is making you interested in between the appearances of Kurt Russell.

@CoupNBA What did you think of Godzilla Minus One?

Certainly doesn't help that they placed much of it in the time between the very self-serious Godzilla 2014 and the very goofy Godzilla: King of Monsters, which makes most of it difficult to take seriously despite admirable attempts and extremely high production quality.
