First of all, I’d like to say that I’ve received a fair allocation of $LINEA and I’m personally satisfied with how the LXP and LXP-L calculations were handled. This note is specifically to address the 1% community allocation. I read the earlier reply last night and decided to sleep on it and reflect before raising this question. Hopefully @DeclanFox14, you can share your 2 gwei on it. Disclaimer: These are purely my personal views and do not represent the sentiments of any communities, including @efrogs_on_linea or @FoxyLinea. I’d like to understand the team’s perspective on this. How is the 1% intended to be used? From my perspective, it may not be enough to properly recognize or fairly compensate the contributions of community core teams over the past two years. I’m also curious about how this allocation will be structured. Will OG communities be treated the same as newer or smaller ones? How many active communities are currently part of the Linea ecosystem, and who decides which groups are recognized as builders or community projects? I'm personally thinking this would account to at least 20+ builders communities and projects that's incubated and built on Linea. Another observation is that quite a few community members across different groups, unhappy with their wallet allocations, are now questioning their community leaders why their favorite projects haven’t been recognize or rewarded the users for their support. And please correct me if I’m wrong but if this 1% is to be split across at least 20+ communities, it would realistically only serve as a way to thank core contributors for their time and efforts. It seems almost impossible for projects to meaningfully pass on rewards to every user, token holder, or NFT holder. What’s your take on this? @LineaBuild For those from other projects who’d like to join the conversation: please keep the discussion constructive. This isn’t about spreading FUD. The goal here is to have a respectful and open exchange of perspectives.

@0xZackHQ LXP was transparent and measurable upfront, it was the cleanest way to run a program without adding too much subjective criteria that often gets gamified anyway

LINEA allocation doesn’t look that fair. Most tokens are going to “farmer” wallets. Here’s how: 1) 0xDede458AC6317a9982E7737B162b457d649AA572 This wallet has 8.4k LXP and is getting 85K $LINEA. But it hasn’t been active: the last transaction on Linea mainnet was 213 days ago, and only 3 transactions in the last 380 days (after LXP campaigns ended). 2) 0x112513AEC425C87e0f94f28d2A5aa4Cb6d88A6a4 This wallet has 6.6k+ LXP, was active on-chain, supported many ecosystem projects, and stayed engaged but only got 60K $LINEA, even after multipliers. This is just one example. There are many “dead” wallets on Linea with almost zero activity in the last year, yet they get more allocation than active contributors. Active wallets decreased from 600k–700k during the campaigns to 30–40k later, a drop of 80–90%. I know LXP was the main criteria, but should the team really give higher allocation to wallets that haven’t been active for over a year than to active contributors?
