Dear #jerseyci
If you have ever enjoyed any of my content, would you take a moment to read this, and repost if you agree. I’d be grateful.
We have unfortunately elected a mostly ‘woke’ liberal left government.
They have achieved almost nothing in the year they have been in power.
Our public sector spending is spiralling out of control.
The Ministers and politicians who are actually listening to the public, you and me, are few, the disconnect from the public is huge.
I cannot continue to hope that all will be well, I can see that it isn’t going to get any better.
If we continue down this route towards this hardline Net Zero initiative, costly wind farm plan, the tree control, vanity projects, trips back and forth, more UK civil servants coming in, hiring UK consultants, UK firms employed, the island will go under.
I am of the opinion that we now need a change of leadership, a steady hand on the tiller, to rein in our public service recruitment, and the obscene civil service spending.
If we don’t make our views heard now, and bear in mind, they work for us, these decisions will be made without consultation and will cause an inordinate increase in taxation, which will affect everyone, but specifically the least well off and the middle earners in our community.
I implore you to voice your concerns, engage with your Deputies, your Constables, the Ministers, email them, phone them, meet up with them, tell them what you don’t like, what your experience is.
We have a limited window of opportunity to salvage the mess this government is creating.
Please do not think ‘it’ll be okay”, it won’t be.
Some Ministers and some senior civil servants are simply ‘empire building’, they do not have the island’s best interests at heart and they need to go.
We have become Westminister ‘Anglicised’ since the Charlie Parker era and I am not prepared to tolerate this continuing.
We are a 9x5 rock in the Channel, our ‘States of Jersey’ are not ‘The Government of Jersey’, we’re a parish council with the ability to print money. We are not a global force or a huge player on the world stage.
If we do nothing, we will not be able to continue to live here, people are leaving in their droves.
This island is unhappy and it doesn’t have to be this way.
Your options are take action now, get us back on an even keel, or risk a socialist government in 2026.
Hold them to account, call out the lies and the spin, demand they redirect spending to the essential things the community actually require.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Thank you.
I appreciate you having read this.

I’ve selected my preferred candidates based solely on how they have performed at hustings etc.
I have not based les choixs on parties/collectives etc. only observed the person in each case.
I hope I have been objective choosing ‘my’ most capable.

@tombinet121 Bonjour, most definitely not you or @BinetRosemary, would never have even thought that of either of you, not even a consideration. Hope Robbie is well. Have a good campaign, both.

I’d like to know if there have been any official checks on the validity of the ‘CV’s’ of some of the new candidates. I have valid concerns, as I know some CV’s have been extremely exaggerated #JSY22🇯🇪

@JessePerchard Do not agree with freedom of movement whilst waiting for test results. It is a ridiculous idea. This will prevent many locals going out to spend money and will cost the island more to deal with sick patients if hospitalised.
