Is slippery slope even a fallacy? I feel like it's a very real concept. A valid arguement in many cases.

@ericmmatheny Taxation is theft, but as long as we're stuck with democracy a universal consumption tax is fine so long as it's the only tax. Better yet, tariffs as the only tax. The gov hitting low income earners with 25% tax is insanity.

Flat tax. Whether you make $1000 or $100 million. A fixed percentage for everybody. And that’s it. A one-page tax form. No bullshit. Everybody pays a reasonable and equitable amount. Everyone - from the wealthiest to the poorest - have skin in the game.

@greg16676935420 I was confused why I was paying ~25% of my taxable income for taxes when the tax bracket is 11%. We are taxed TWO sets of ~11%, one for federal, and one for social security.

@dubukiro I decided I wasn't going to withhold and I would have an investment account I'd use to pay my taxes with, and I was informed that if I don't withhold the IRS will come to my house and #rape me.

France made this wastefulness illegal cause it’s cruel and only causes more waste issues. Any food market or restaurant over 400 square meters has to donate all their good unsold food to charities and are fined if they do anything like this. That law should be applied everywhere
