With more guaranteed money, players don’t HAVE to play through anything. Owners have to invest in the players which means they want longevity. Gone are the days of paying players like Scottie Pippen $18m for 7 years.

I’d like to see the stats on average career lengths. Not sure how this would best be displayed but, it could add some substance to the discussion. This is a much larger discussion than pinpointing it in “performance and medical”. There’s more guaranteed money than ever before
