My dad's wisdom strikes again: 'No one will teach you how to make money because if they knew, they'd teach their own first.' It's a reminder to seek out knowledge, create our own paths, and share wealth with those close to us. Retweet for a chance to follow back & let's grow together! #WisdomWednesday #GrowthMindset

@winexviv How did you go from an issue of poorly maintained schools to promiscuity?? A school hostel looks like shit but somehow it turns to the girl children running away and get pregnant. Dullard

Last week, when i stepped down from the car at Ojukwu girls’ hostels in University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, something terrible hit me before i even saw anything else. The smell. Not the kind you can ignore. The kind that stays with you. The kind that makes you wonder how anyone is expected to live like this not to talk of study, dream, or become anything. Bathrooms you can’t step into without holding your breath. Water that doesn’t run. Windows open for "Window Men" to steal at night. Doors that don’t lock. Rooms packed beyond capacity. No privacy. No dignity. Just young girls trying to survive each day in a place that quietly strips them of self-worth. And that’s where the conversation everyone avoids begins. Because what happens next is not random. When a teenage girl cannot bathe safely… When she cannot sleep in peace… When her own hostel feels like a punishment… She starts looking for an escape. Not because she’s wayward. Not because she lacks home training. But because she’s tired. Tired of managing filth. Tired of feeling less than human. So a man offers a better space, a cleaner room, water, light, comfort. And slowly, survival turns into compromise. It doesn’t start with “promiscuity.” It starts with relief. Then comes dependency. Then comes pressure. Then comes mistakes that carry lifelong consequences. And one day, she’s pregnant. And society, in its usual cruelty, asks: “Where are her parents?” “Why are girls like this?” But nobody asks the harder question: What kind of environment did we abandon her to? We keep pretending morality exists in isolation. It doesn’t. Environment shapes choices. And when you place teenagers in conditions that constantly strip them of dignity, you shouldn’t be shocked when they begin to make desperate decisions just to feel human again. This is not just about dirty hostels. This is about how a system quietly pushes young girls into situations they never planned for and then turns around to blame them for surviving it. If we’re serious about reducing teenage pregnancy… If we truly care about protecting the future of these girls… Then we need to stop looking away. Because sometimes, the difference between discipline and desperation is just the condition of where a girl lays her head at night.

@Nedumcity_ Looking at the initial construction makes this obvious. The road they are hyping, I wonder if these people understand what standard road construction looks like and what constitutes standard construction. Over media hype is making people lose their common sense.

The fact that humans use this is troubling, let alone a university training future leaders. It explains a lot about why some Nigerians behave the way they do. They were raised in a very unfriendly environment.

@winexviv This is a great idea, but I still doubt that we have the level of traffic to make railway operation sustainable. We need a high level of industrialization in each state, which I believe will drive the movement of people from Enugu to Aba and Abakaliki to Owerri.

If the South East Development Commission can achieve a reliable railway system that can connect the entire South East region for safe movement of goods and people, that will be an outstanding achievement. I should be able to travel safely from Enugu to Aba, Abakaliki, Awka, Owerri at night safely via train without the fear of ndi nto. People should be able to transport goods safely via trains. If this is done, it will boost the economy of the region at a scale never have seen before. We don't need more conferences or photo ops.

Today, we visited this facility that we may likely use for our first cohort for Igbo Apprenticeship redesign project in Enugu. The empty land beside it will be used for the warehouse construction. The warehouse is for plumbing, welding, bricklaying, auto mechanics etc trainings.

Today, I visit University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC) and I saw first hand the deplorable state of the female hostels. The students are really suffering. Their hostels are constantly being robbed at night because of bad windows. Their toilets are a mess and environment bad.

I assure Nigerians that We Will Have Electricity to Power Our Growth — Tinubu Promises President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to delivering stable electricity to drive economic growth, industrialisation and national development. Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, during the commissioning of major infrastructure projects, the President acknowledged ongoing challenges in the power sector but expressed confidence that reforms and investments underway would soon make a difference. “I assure Nigerians that we will have electricity to power our growth,” he declared, stressing that reliable power remains central to economic expansion and improved living standards. Tinubu also pledged continued support for vulnerable citizens facing economic hardship, especially amid rising fuel costs and global pressures. “We will not look back. We will continue to find ways to ameliorate the suffering of the vulnerable. This is a government that cares,” Tinubu said, adding that relevant ministries are already reviewing fiscal measures aimed at cushioning the impact on Nigerians.

BREAKING🚨: The Artemis II astronauts will go through the most tense moment of the mission on April 6, 2026. This is the highlight of the entire mission. The Orion will pass between 6,400 and 9,600 kilometers above the lunar surface. But there's a detail that makes this moment even more intense: as it passes over the far side of the Moon, the spacecraft will lose communication with Earth for about 30 to 50 minutes, blocked by the Moon itself. "For the 45 minutes when we'll be closest to the lunar surface, we'll also be out of contact," said Victor Glover, the mission's pilot. "I'd love for the whole world to be cheering and praying for us to reestablish the signal." During that time, the astronauts will photograph and observe regions of the Moon's far side that have never been seen by human eyes. The crew will also attempt to capture new images of the so-called Earthrise, the planet emerging over the desolate lunar surface.

@StilltheWarlord @HoraceHogan @CuriosityonX @KCMikeMahoney Homeless people are about 3.5× more likely to die than housed Americans Even compared to people in poverty who have housing, homeless individuals still have about 60% higher mortality risk Community Solutions Poverty increases risk but homelessness multiplies it further.
