This year marks 10 years in curlew conservation, starting with a 500 mile walk across Ireland and the UK to help them. Why Curlews in particular? "I liked something about the way Curlew lived in the world, sang to the world, and drifted through the world with a light touch."

Azina laid her first egg last night at 10:41pm! So on 2nd March again, but 8 hours later than last year. She then had a good rest. 🥚 #eggwatch

The Peregrines' ledge was cleaned today (a great job as always by the Industrial Abseiling guys). Tom and Azina didn't return until late afternoon but then a courtship display in the box. I guess the work got their seal of approval 😊

Day 5 Two chicks it will be for this year. This is the first time there are two chicks here. They both look healthy and strong, and are getting a lot of food from Mom and Dad. They got six feeds again today, all Pigeon, and one of them was by Tom.
