Senior Airman Roger Fortson, who was 23 years old, was shot and killed on May 3rd at his home, located 5 miles from the Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida, where he is based. Police arrived at Fortson's apartment complex after a woman called and said she heard fighting coming from an apartment. There was no one else in Fortson’s apartment, he was home alone. The deputy shot him within two seconds of opening the door. Fortson was a member of the US military and licensed to carry a firearm. This was an execution.
