@chasingbriscoe For most wins, im ordering the ARC or some other variant. For a win this special, with an entire company on his shoulders at the most difficult track, I splurged. This is the first diecast I’ve bought since 2020. It’s special.

I really want to preorder the Elite Premier version of Chase's Darlington win, just because I designed the scheme. But having to buy a $25 membership to preorder one diecast isn't worth it to me. I only order through Circle B usually. Sucks.

The wounds of war are not only physical. They also never heal for some. I received news today that one of my comrades from the war took his life last night. This man was an outstanding NCO, a great father, and a loyal friend. He was a model soldier. In my younger days he was incredibly hard on me. He abused the hell out of all of us. But it was for our own good. All these years later I understand it now. When I was 20 I looked at this guy and I thought he was invincible. The absolute cornerstone of masculinity. And he was. A model American and an asset to the armed forces of the United States. A guy who shot a dude in the nuts with an M4 in Iraq. A complete Chad. What I want to say to all of you this evening is to check on your buddies. Call them. Bug them. Don’t allow them to carry the guilt of loss alone. Don’t let them feel responsible for the deaths of others. War sucks and people die. It’s something we ultimate accept as soldiers. Sometimes the demons find a kink in even the hardest armor around our hearts.

@pics4theatre @MiguelitoTX1836 @xaviation They’re probably just learning how to do it. I suspect this pilot has just a few hours in a UH-60. I’ve been with people that were so good at it, you couldn’t tell anything was different. It all just depends on experience level.

@MiguelitoTX1836 @xaviation Also, this appears to be at Lowe Army airfield where all Blackhawk pilots go to learn how to fly a UH-60. I watched it again, and you can see where an instructor pilot probably takes controls to stabilize the helicopter. This is a hard thing to learn how to do for many.

@MiguelitoTX1836 @xaviation They’re likely practicing hovering with SAS/Boost off. Basically they turned the power steering off and any stability help from the helicopter is turned off. It’s much harder to hold a stable hover In this state.

Why does the U.S. military keep buying the M17/M18 in FDE/desert color? Really should be black or even black slide and ideally green, black, and FDE grip modules?Current look is sort of a GWOT carry over at this point isn't it? Adding $$$ red dots in FDE seems like a double down.

@42cobras It’s certainly a possibility. I can’t see them leaving the SEC out and based on previous years, the conference championships don’t mean everything. Look at Bama 2018. They’d have to jump Bama and Texas over Ohio State in their rankings for either one to make it.

@BishopRealTalk I would laugh so hard if that happened, but I don’t see it. Then again, Bama had plenty of mulligans in the past.

At least we can put to bed the myth that the SEC office rigs games for their benefit, because there’s no way they would’ve rigged it so that the SEC is left out of the playoff. Because that’s about to happen.
