Founded by @lepuppeteerfou and launched via @inscribenow_io on the 4th of January 2024, @BitcoinPuppets is one of the communities on Ordinals which have shown strength since inception.
The collection was released under Viral Public License allowing anyone to use the artwork or likeness for their own creative purposes.
𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
Bitcoin Puppets minted for $10 which was very cheap when compared to the hype they had before launch and how much similar projects charged for mints back when they minted.
➜ O.P.I.U.M. holders were able to mint up to 5 Puppets per OPIUM held.
➜ The remaining supply was opened to the public.
The mint day was an absolute chaos because everyone who didn't have a GTD spot via OPIUM was struggling to mint in public due to the hype it had, also because of the unique art. Some botters took advantage of the situation and heavily botted the public mint which in turn broke the mint site.
Despite the challenges they had with their mint, the Bitcoin puppets community have become one of the strongest in Ordinals as they've managed to build a strong community and the project evolved to become a community-led project. Also, the founder still shows up as well, sometimes, he's memeing, other times he's commenting on waifu's pictures😂

Overall, I love the collective effort the Bitcoin Puppets community have put into building and consistently showing up. Widely regarded as one of the most active communities on Bitcoin, their organic growth and cultural impact are truly inspiring.
