We don't see it. In our experience, Claude struggles building software from first-principles resulting in overly complex and expensive to maintain code.
LLMs today can imitate solutions, not derive them.

@yay3d @Akitti @Dr_Singularity They cannot learn, apply or adapt. They can feed some data into an in-context window but that only serves to supplement the input prompt against which the preset prediction matrix is run against. Once the model is trained that's it. It cannot learn from there.

@yay3d @Akitti @Dr_Singularity Of course not. An encyclopedia is not intellegent. It's a collectoin of atoms organized in a way that an intellegent creature can decypher the resulting symbols in a way that they can aquire knowledge in which they can then intellegenty apply.

@yay3d @Akitti @Dr_Singularity Of course, it requires interative real time learning in fact. It requires the ability to both apply current knowledge to a new situation but also to learn from that situation and adapt/improve in real time.
None of which AI can do of course.

AI is non deterministic so while it relies on a prediction engine the output is by defination unpredictable which makes it unreliable preceicely because it lacks the intellegence necessary to reason, learn and adapt in an interative way. 😉

@Akitti @yay3d @Dr_Singularity Intelligence is generally defined as the ability to aquire and apply knowledge. In full context it refers to the human ability to continuously learn from their environment and adapt.
All AI systems to date are predictive programs based on pretrained data.
This is not intelligence
