It also has a hard time reading blinking red lights on highway on ramps. Often getting confused that the light is blinking if the sun hits the glass dome (on the light) just right. It stopped when the light was blinking and there was a car behind me. Just really dumb stuff that nearly gets me in a crash. I’ve had to intervene several times in the last month. It’s great, but there are some pretty rough edges when it comes to logic related to stopping. it gets “confused” and stutter stops in many different contexts.

@BowTiedBull my anxiety was removed after using FSD. i had no idea how worried i was getting in a crash or hitting someone. or my biggest sin, being impatient. totally gone. can’t wait until i can sit in the passenger seat.

If in need of a car the self driving from Tesla is the real value vs electricity Driving is net productivity loss, losing hours of value every single time you drive
Cernovich@Cernovich

If I were in a higher net worth bracket, driving is the first thing I’d give up. I enjoy cooking. Don’t want a chef. A driver tho? Hell yes. How the hell is Tiger Woods driving himself. Maybe he really does enjoy it as much as I do cooking.

@Catullus_Vincit @BitheadRL @AuronMacintyre I hear you but I viewed it as she wanted to profit at the expense of Americans (who weren't hired b/c illegals are cheaper, and who she put at risk by letting these guys roam free until she reported) But it sounds like she actually did call ICE quickly, so no harm no foul.

@AuronMacintyre No one is more pro-deportation than I am but if she waited until the roof was done to do this, she sucks and is not much better than the guy who employs them.

@JapanTripFriend I don’t know what they call it, but I had the best ramen in Tokushima-city. That being said, I’ve only had ramen in 3 prefectures.

Many tourists think ramen is just ramen. But each region in Japan has its own “classic” style. Here are a few of them. Fukuoka → Tonkotsu (one of Japan's Big 3) Thin noodles, rich milky pork broth. And honestly, every single thing you eat in Fukuoka is amazing. Sapporo → Miso ramen (one of Japan's Big 3) I've hit multiple famous spots here. Every one was incredible. Same as Fukuoka — the food scene is just on another level. Kitakata → Shoyu ramen (one of Japan's Big 3) Famous for its "morning ramen" culture. Flat, aged, high-hydration noodles. Haven't been yet — it's at the top of my list. Yokohama → Iekei ramen Thick tonkotsu-shoyu broth. I always end up ordering white rice on the side. Every time. Sano → Sano ramen Light shoyu, handmade bamboo-pressed noodles. Simple and perfect. I eat this every single time I'm in Tochigi. Kyoto → Back fat shoyu / chicken paitan Kairikiya is my go-to. Incredible quality for the price. Onomichi → Light seafood & chicken broth shoyu Haven't tried it yet. Honestly my most-wanted ramen right now. If I had to pick just one? Yamagata. Spicy miso ramen. Specifically: Ryushanhai Akayu Honten in Yamagata. I've been there multiple times with a friend who grew up there. I still think about it. What’s your favorite type of ramen?

@DataRepublican @ShamashAran @SenJohnCurtis This is boilerplate. I’ve never gotten a real response from a senator. Every e-mail is patronizing when put in the context of your request. Hopefully you can get an actual response.

Keep in mind, this was after I sent a heartfelt testimony for Jeremy Carl and explained how I became cancelled and that I’m DataRepublican and so on. And it simply ended in asking me to follow him on X, one day after Carl’s withdrawal nomination. This on top of learning that his office printed out my Tweets in 10x font and using them to accuse @realJeremyCarl .

. @SenJohnCurtis I am told you pride yourself on being a nice, open-minded person. Many have begged me to go after you. I didn’t because we need you. But just now, your office just sent me the most patronizing message in response to the very real testimony I offered on the behalf of @realJeremyCarl weeks ago. Not just that, but that Carl retweeting one of my posts was a possible factor in you denying his nomination. Senator Curtis, I’m really struggling here ethically. Genuinely. You are my Senator and I respect you especially in the light of a swing vote. But the message your office sent me just now is very upsetting and patronizing, and shows you don’t listen to your own constituents at all. Let me ask you a simple question. Are you willing to communicate with me and get to know me? Yes or no? Silence will be taken as a “no.”

You already can. I use omarchy. (or nobara if you want a system closer to win experience) It is unbelievable. Works right out of the box (mostly). You may have to configure the refresh rate of your monitor. And it’s faster… Hell Divers 2 works like a dream. Get a USB stick and do it, man! You won’t regret it.

@signulll 2 years max. Won't be coding. Will need to be doing something else. The plan is to get really good with these tools and see how far I can ride the wave. Building LEAN skills on the side. Manufacturing, process, etc. will (probably) still be in demand. 2026 is going to be wild.

@simonsarris I didn't even know I had an issue after a really bad cold I had for months (Maybe it's the post covid symptoms everyone is talking about?) I took NMN... it went away the same day. Brain fog gone. Energy back. Unbelievable. Going to try E now too. Thank you!

I've had some strange on-and-off congestion ever since covid (2024), it goes away and returns. Low grade but annoying. None of these things helped, I tried lots. HOWEVER: 7 days ago I took a large dose Vitamin E and it cleared up within an hour and has not come back?!
Simon Sarris@simonsarris

does anyone have any esoteric knowledge to combat congestion? I never get sick, but get annoying allergies twice a year to make up for this. I prefer not to use drugs.

Elon Musk just gave retirement planning the most radical advice possible: “Don’t worry about squirreling money away for retirement in 10 or 20 years — it won’t matter. You won’t need to save for retirement.” His reasoning (from the same conversation): We’re already in the singularity — “the event horizon” where prediction breaks down. The accelerating timeline makes long-term saving irrelevant. Services, homes, healthcare, entertainment — abundance will be so extreme that the old rules vanish. Peter Diamandis: “The way this unfolds is fundamentally impossible to predict because of self-improvement of the AI and the accelerating timeline.” Elon: “We’re in this beautiful sweet spot… like being at the top of the roller coaster about to drop. I don’t just have courtside seats — I’m on the court.” If saving for retirement becomes pointless in the next 10–20 years because we’re already past the event horizon… what’s the first thing you’d change about how you live right now?

I’ve seen people believe that jira provides structure. a way to plan work. They don’t understand that planning, grooming, etc. are skills. if you learn lean, you can replace jira with a whiteboard and sticky notes, be just as productive, and probably have an easier time changing process— rather than trying to understand their archaic configuration system.

You know what's wild about this video? I'm explaining how Jira is hated by people because it enables bad product managers. This is user feedback. Many, _many_ other users of Jira (programmers) agree with me. Product managers--who's job is listening to users feedback--are in the comments with "STFU and get back to work coder!" Simultaneously proving that they're bad at their job and that I'm right that they only like it because it gives them power. Not to mention the weird illiteracy. Is product management some weird job where illiterate failed programmers go to rent seek off other people's work through Jira tickets?

This is kind of a humble brag, as BOSS apps are insanely easy to create already. With AI, it's on steroids. The patterns are so easy, that it takes AI literally seconds to fully grok and generate useful BOSS apps.

BOSS Update When I developed BOSS, I designed it as platform to quickly make business software. I could make apps in days, instead of weeks. What I discovered today is blowing my mind. With Grok and Visual Studio, I created an app in about 2 minutes with BOSS. An expense tracker that would have taken me days. About two minutes. While I was learning the tool, the AI made several mistakes. I had AI provide me with a list of instructions on how to further refine its code generation so that the errors didn't happen again. Within the next couple of days I'm going to publish all of these rules so that you can make BOSS apps in literally minutes. At first I was anxious to use these tools. But now... man, I have a huge backlog, with fully defined requirements that I can just plug into Grok and it'll create the app. Absolutely incredible.

Omarchy is incredible. I haven't smiled installing an OS... ever. I used the 2.x version a little while ago for dev and loved it. 3.x is incredible... I was using Nobara for gaming. Omarchy now detects and installs the right drivers automatically... it's a cinch to install Steam. I'm getting 20+FPS more! WTH?! That was better than Windows. The only "con" is that I had to update a config file to set the right refresh rate of the monitor. Unbelievably good job, @OmarchyLinux team!
