Subnet 8 is out of stealth. Now, anyone with a computer can help train robots in simulation! We're building on RoboPlayground: a dynamic, language-driven eval system for embodied AI developed by @UW + @allen_ai researchers. BitRobot extends it with community-sourced teleop-in-sim and expert demos: hyperscaling high-quality sim-to-real data for robotics R&D. Early days. Very excited.

To move robotics foundation models forward, we need better evaluation. And to study them systematically at scale—beyond pick-and-place—we need simulation and large-scale sim data spanning many domains. 7/ Thrilled to build on the foundational work by @DJiafei, @yiruhelenwang, and the RoboEval + RoboPlayground team ( @carter_t_ung, @siddhss5, @fox_dieter17849, Evan Gubarev, Christopher Tan, and others). RoboPlayground brings dynamic eval tasks into sim — BitRobot turns them into teleop games for a global contributor base, yielding richer, more diverse datasets that help close the sim-to-real gap.
