✨ Arknights: Endfield First Impressions ✨ My opinion is based solely on getting past the first area and escaping tutorial hell. With NO prior knowledge, here's what I love so far: - World design is beautiful - Neat character designs & kits - Combat is GREAT. It's so smooth. - Voice actors are 10/10. The accents! - Open world is fun to explore - Music is awesome, holy moly - Once I could make more relays, I liked connecting them. And what I didn't love: - Tutorials DRAGGED on, were excessive & repetitive. - The UI is insane, there's so many menus! - The back and forth between tutorial yap and story is jarring. - Tried to explore too early (before crafting unlocked) and cried. - Story LOOKS interesting in the trailers, but so far I'm not gripped. The characters repeat themselves a lot (hey did you know this is out of norm for the LBs?) and I lost focus a lot from the first zone. I don't think I can truly gauge if I like the factory building until I start on the real part of it soon, but the tutorials made it a tedious experience so far. I've never played a factory builder, so it's my first time. Combat is a big highlight for me so far, I really love it. I'll update this once I get through the next zone.

If you feel like your life is in danger, I think you would understand that he stopped shooting when he consciously knew he wasn't in danger any more.

genuine question when disney changes the storylines and characters of movies with remakes we complain and say that they have an original movie with a script ready to go, so why mess it up? but then when they make a remake like this one and it appears to be exactly the same to the animated one, that’s lazy and not good either? i see people criticizing this trailer by saying it’s a 1 to 1 version of the original. do they just dislike remakes? is there any live action remake that would be good enough for them? as a moana fan im personally excited to see this, i hope its good and as close to the original as possible. i cant lie, it feels like some people just want to complain about anything sometimes.

I was watching Netflix’s new series Death by Lightning. It’s set in Chicago, 1880 - and this establishing scene pops up. In the foreground: •an Asian woman, •two Black men, •and a one-legged man - all walking together downtown. It immediately stuck out to me, so I looked up the actual demographics for Chicago in 1880. Here’s what the numbers say: •Chicago’s population: about 503,000 •Black population: 6,500 (≈1.3%) •Chinese population: 172 total (≈0.03%) •Chinese women? About 3% of that - meaning roughly 5 total in the entire city. •Disabled/one-legged men from the Civil War era? Plausible, maybe 0.1–0.2% of the population. So if you ran the math on the odds of seeing all of that - an Asian woman, two Black men, and an amputee - in one random 50-person crowd downtown, it comes out to about 0.00016%, or roughly 1 in 640,000. In other words, Netflix made a scene that’s about as statistically likely as spotting a UFO on your morning commute - but hey, at least the diversity box got checked.
