So sad to learn of the passing of one of our cultural icons of the Black Arts and Civil Rights Movements. Renowned poet, activist, author, and professor, Nikki Giovanni, passed peacefully at her home yesterday. She was 81 years old. RIP to true trailblazer. 🙏🕊
