John Carpino being replaced by an internal promotion isn’t ideal, and I doubt much changes since Molly Jolly has been around Arte for over two decades now… But at least she’s someone who didn’t work at Arte’s billboard company— unlike both of the Angels prior Presidents.

@loveofsports24 His 6’, 210lb frame is conducive to a 3B. He will have ‘pop’ and play well at either spot while he’s young…but will likely move to 3B in a handful of yrs anyway as he puts on a few more lbs. If the Halos find it easier to sign a good 2B….Moore should be a flexible piece.

So who’s going to be the Angels third baseman next season? I don’t really see them making any big moves at this point, but you never know. Based on the options they have right now, it feels like it’ll be some kind of platoon or competition. Grissom, Peraza, Guzman, and maybe even Paris all look like candidates. I’d expect Moore to stay at second and Neto at short, which leaves third base pretty wide open. None of these guys have really put it together at the major league level yet, so it’ll be interesting to see who steps up. Great deal for the Angels. They get a lefthanded bat with power/speed, good OF defense for a reliever & prospect. If Josh Lowe can stay healthy (he hasn't been fully healthy the past two seasons), it's very possible he can put up his 2023 numbers. .292/.335/.500 20 HR, 32 SB.

@SamBlum3 The fat forker isn’t setting proper goals. He’s akin to a 5’10” / 295lb guy being happy about losing 10lbs. The 2025 club finished (five) 6.5% wins BELOW HIS own 2021 club. I don’t care about measuring from the “floor” he created 4 years into his tenure.

@SleeperAngels CF, 3B, and top of rotation arm are all required to be competitive. Addressing only 1 or 2 won’t result in success during 2026. Adding a CF & top of rotation arm are the most expensive (and most difficult) to solve. 3B/2B is easier (and cheaper) to solve.

What is more important for the Angels right now via free agency/trade? Starting pitcher or third baseman?

Hey, where’s Perry? Winter Meetings coverage has wrapped, and Perry Minasian did not appear on either MLB Network or MLB Network Radio the entire time. By my count, 26/30 GMs did interviews on MLB Network and 26/30 GMs did interviews on MLBNR.
