@BlakeIlluse Thank you! Yes, they're arguably making more money with less overall copies sold thanks to the steady rate of DAU that they can exploit with shop gear and battle passes. If that metric isn't hit, they're not singing a different tune.
@KingJae They don’t care about the players in the middle. They care about new comers and top tier competitors that will always compete no matter what. Keep the newbies coming and the tournament scene alive to promote the new installment. Your suggestion goes against.
If Tekken devs want a whole new audience, why not just release a Tekken Legacy Collection and then continue on with this aggressive direction in Tekken 8?
Complaints will be reduced because the old Tekken will be playable via Steam and the new audience will be happy with Tekken 8?
@SpaghettiRip I think if movement accessibility was the focus for tekken 8 then it could have offset the focus on neutral skipping offense. It would have showcased why tekken in general is cool and different than other fighters for new comers. But instead they did both.
What's your guys' opinion on the change that was made in T8 of being able to backdash quicker without cancelling?
Was it good for accessibility and making the game feel more fluid for newbies or would it have been better to focus on teaching cancelling?
I'm more for the former
@NoahBlack71500@VolSkimmer Heat doesn’t feel integral. It plays like a mechanic slapped on top. Removing heat wouldn’t break the game. I go plenty of rounds when heat isn’t used and it still works. Heat takes over and needs to be dialed back at least.
@VolSkimmer The big difference between wild assault and heat is that. Heat was introduced into the game when Tekken 8 was released. Wild assault was added two years after the fact. Heat is integral to Tekken 8 as a game. It's part of its identity. Wild assault is not.
Guilty Gear Strive is removing the controversial Wild Assault mechanic after months of player demands
Tekken 8 when asked to remove the Heat system told players if you don’t want heat, play an older Tekken game
Let’s be honest ⚠️
The UFC should CUT Michael Bisping from the commentary team IMMEDIATELY.
He’s easily the WORST one.
He’s so biased and just starts yapping about random stuff. He even makes rewatching the fights impossible.
@WonderbreadMMA Let’s say around 100 fights over the past few years were fixed since that’s the number this guy casually threw out.. we’re currently at 750+ UFC fights in 2025. People are really being dramatic about this.
