Heck of a story to share with y'all from Northgate this weekend. College Station police arrested this 48-year-old man (mug shot on top) on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury. The arrest report says he and his son were causing issues in and outside a bar, and things started to get physical outside. That's when the owner of a hot dog stand outside the bar stepped in and tried to help de-escalate the situation and help the bar staff. Witnesses told police that's when the man attacked the owner of the hot dog stand, leaving him covered in blood and with injuries to his face. (Photo on bottom) What happened next is worth sharing: While the hot dog stand owner was with the police and getting cleaned up, two men jumped in, took over, and continued to serve customers at the Glizzy's Hot Dog Stand. The guy in the black shirt is Maurice Vilchez. The guy in the maroon shirt is unknown, but he helped out and that's pretty awesome. If you know him, tag him! In addition to the dad getting arrested for the assault, his 20-year-old son was also arrested and charged with public intoxication. Jail records show they're both from Smithville, TX.
