Something strange is happening at UVU where Charlie Kirk was assassinated just 7 months ago. UVU leadership invited a woman to speak at their 2026 commencement who, just a few days after Kirk was murdered, went on instagram and let her 1.4M followers know that Kirk was a bad guy and implied he kinda deserved it. Why would UVU invite such a person? Even without the Kirk slander, she's a terrible choice. She's a resistlib instagram influencer who just makes anti-Trump/anti-conservative posts and dresses them up as "civics education." She's a slightly more refined Krassenstein Brother. UVU was the site of one of the most gruesome and significant political assassinations in American history but they act as if it was just a normal school year. Could they really not find a suitable speaker that didn't try to justify Kirk's murder? Was there no LDS Apostle willing to speak? No olympians, business leaders, former governors, or astronauts? Why select this highly partisan hack instagram influencer? I have to wonder if the UVU Board of Trustees has any idea what's happening at their school. This is disgusting. If a person is going to claim they are too mentally ill to face trial for a crime, there is only one acceptable follow-up: They should be forcibly and irrevocably institutionalized for life, immediately. Instead, competency tests and insanity pleas primarily exist as just another tool in the progressive kit to pursue their ultimate goal: Making sure criminals get away with crimes.
