@OnesOfLight@NikTek You realize that’s what they want right? To make hardware ownership so expensive you have to rent access from them. Watch the latest Gamers Nexus video
You could play 4 years on Nvidia GeForce Now before paying for a PS or SD? Just saying an option, 100 hour per month does suck but not if you have things to do irl. But I am not advertising or supporting Nvidia, they are turning their backs on their company foundation and legendary benefactors, aka gamers.
> a 1TB OLED Steam Deck now costs $950 now
> PS5 Pro now costs $900
> Xbox Series X costs $649

Valve quietly pushed a Steam Controller firmware update:
• Released through the Steam Client Update on May 22nd
• Targets a potential charging issue with the new Steam Controller
• Specifically addresses problems that could happen when removing the controller from its charging puck
• Small update, but important if you use the dock/puck regularly
• Check Steam for the latest client update to make sure your controller firmware gets patched
A good sign Valve always takes care of their hardware

@MustacheBob2@Flower_of_Babel Did you not watch the live stream? It took up 40tons of cargo full of dummy starlink satellites which it ejected correctly and the last two were real current gen starlink sats with cameras on them which turned on and filmed starship as it came out!
Starship exploded. Again. Like it always explodes. It explodes because it's a dead-end design. SpaceX will never reach the moon. SpaceX will never reach Mars. SpaceX sets the US space program back every day we foolishly decide to rely on it.
Valve’s upcoming “Steam Frame” might be the most ambitious VR headset in years.
Not because it’s “just VR.”
Because Valve is trying to combine:
• Steam Deck
• Valve Index
• standalone VR
• wireless PC VR
• Linux gaming
into ONE device.

🚨Steam deck users!
SteamOS 3.8.5 Beta is THAT update
• Valve keeps stacking in more polish and prep work instead of one giant flashy reveal
• Recent 3.8 beta updates have been focused on Steam Machine support, VRR TV fixes, and desktop mode stability
• That makes this feel less like a beta and more like Valve tightening the platform before bigger hardware moves
Over on X, new evidence has been uncovered that quietly teases the Steam Machine's arrival. 🤫
The Steam Client Beta ushered in a ton of references to the #SteamMachine. This includes localization for the Steam Verified program, as well as concessions for the LED bar lighting on the Steam Machine unit, and HDMI CEC audio control.
