Great respect to Bola Tinubu THE FATHER OF OPPOSITION. He stayed put and built the party. Not the hungry politicians we have. #PartyChangers

@onu_slim So propose a solution that works.
Comfort to the families.
There seems to be so much UNFORGIVENESS in the land from past crises. Most are waiting to pay back evil for evil.
With this, there may not be an end in sight to attacks n reprisal attacks.
It's very serious

Her son’s name was Promise.
Read that again, Promise, taken on Palm Sunday in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, while his mother was probably still thinking about church, still humming a hymn, still believing God was watching over her household.
And what does the President of the Federal Republic offer her?
God.
At least 30 people were killed in that single attack, and this is not a one-off, Jos has been bleeding like this repeatedly, Palm Sunday 2025, Easter 2024, 2022, 2021, 2020, the dates are almost ritualistic at this point, every Easter season, somebody’s Promise gets buried.
The pattern never changes, attack happens, governor condemns, curfew announced, president speaks, Nigerians trend on X, tears dry, cycle repeats.
Residents defied the curfew and protested Monday morning, one of them said it plainly, the security men were there but “they are not doing any help right here”, and that line should follow Tinubu everywhere he goes.
Then Cubana Chief Priest, of all people, suggested the attack was done to embarrass Tinubu on his birthday, that’s the level of reasoning surrounding this President, Promise’s mother is holding a corpse and his supporters are calculating birthday optics.
Tinubu’s condolence wasn’t wrong as a human sentiment, it was wrong as a presidential response, you don’t quote God to a woman whose son the state failed to protect, you show her a plan, you show her arrests, you show her that Promise’s blood meant something to the people in Aso Rock.
Until then, every condolence is just another speech over another grave.

I know the pain; I saw how, in the video, you held on to your son and the pain and agony in your heart, but it's only God who can give you joy and comfort. No amount of money can pay all of you back. 'As a government, we will do our best to comfort you,' Tinubu says to the woman who grasped her dead son in a viral video after the Plateau attack. #CTVTweets

Don’t watch if you’re easily triggered by intense emotional theme.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame.
What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed.
Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character.

A nation cannot move forward while lives are being wasted.
When will we choose people over politics?
When will human life truly matter again? 🇳🇬
QUESTIONS THAT MUST BE ANSWERED:
Is it not better to deploy all necessary resources to stop the loss of lives, rather than deny what is happening?
Is it not more profitable to protect lives than to prepare for elections over victims of preventable tragedy?
What nation truly progresses in a climate of constant crisis and insecurity?
When will we be tired of being a reproach among nations?
When will leadership be tired of Nigeria making negative headlines globally?
When will human life regain its value in this country?
When will senseless perpetrators be swiftly apprehended and brought to justice?
Enough is enough.
Lives must be protected.
Justice must be served.

PRESS RELEASE
It has come to the attention of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State that certain unscrupulous elements are circulating baseless and unfounded rumours with the intent to create disharmony and disaffection within the party. These claims allege that the APC leadership in Kaduna State and/or His Excellency, the Governor, have anointed specific individuals as preferred candidates for various elective positions ahead of the forthcoming elections.
For the avoidance of doubt, and to set the record straight, the party hereby states as follows:
1.The APC remains a democratic institution founded on the principles of equity, fairness, and internal democracy, and the Kaduna State chapter is resolutely committed to upholding these values.
2.In line with the provisions of the Party Constitution and Section 84(2) of the Electoral Act, the emergence of candidates for elective positions shall be strictly through direct primaries or consensus among aspirants.
3.As a responsible and forward-looking political party committed to unity, cohesion, and electoral competitiveness, aspirants are encouraged, where feasible, to adopt the consensus approach to foster harmony and reduce intra-party contestation.
4.However, this legitimate and constitutionally recognised option is being mischievously misrepresented in certain quarters as the imposition or anointing of preferred candidates.
5.This narrative is entirely false, misleading, and politically motivated.
6.Neither the party nor His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani; an avowed democrat with a well-established track record in the struggle for democratic consolidation, has anointed any individual for any elective position whatsoever.
7.The APC has not, does not, and will not anoint candidates at any level. The party remains firmly committed to providing a level playing field for all aspirants.
8.The party urges members and the general public to disregard these unfounded claims and to refrain from circulating unauthorised or misleading information capable of undermining party unity.
9.The APC will continue to uphold discipline and will not hesitate to take appropriate action against any individual or group whose conduct is capable of bringing the party into disrepute.
Above is for the information of all members and the general public. Above is a notice of all members and the general public

“I boarded a bus and the driver said he just came back from a mandatory NURTW meeting. According to him, they were given one derica of rice, their voter’s cards were collected, and their fingerprints were taken on palm kernel seeds. He said whether you show up to vote or not, your vote is already in their hands. He even claimed students are being offered ₦500k to surrender their voter cards. We’re honestly not angry enough.”
