@seanpepisky I'm not one to shame anyone. But have you seen how ruthless ladies are in their 20s? If she's now pretty, her ruthlessness and nonchalance could dampen a weak guy's spirit. So when we see a 30+ and she's conventionally very pretty, we just KNOW she's the problem.

Honestly , this question is heavier than it looks. Because once a woman clocks 30 and sheโ€™s still single, the assumptions start. Not curiosity. Not concern. Judgment. Thereโ€™s this quiet conclusion that she must have done something wrong. Stayed too long in the wrong relationship. Focused too much on work. Was too picky. Didnโ€™t โ€œbehave well enough.โ€ Nobody ever stops to consider that maybeโ€ฆ life just happened. Maybe she loved deeply and it didnโ€™t work out. Maybe she walked away from something that wouldโ€™ve destroyed her. Maybe she chose peace over pressure. Maybe she simply wasnโ€™t ready ,and that should be allowed. Whatโ€™s funny is how men of the same age arenโ€™t questioned the same way. A 35-year-old man is โ€œstill building.โ€ A 35-year-old woman is โ€œrunning out of time.โ€ That difference isnโ€™t biology alone. Itโ€™s how weโ€™ve been taught to see women as timelines, not people. The truth a lot of people donโ€™t like to say out loud is this: Women in their 30s usually know themselves better. Theyโ€™ve learned from mistakes. They ask harder questions. They donโ€™t rush because of noise. And that makes some men uncomfortable. So instead of saying โ€œshe wonโ€™t tolerate nonsense,โ€ society says โ€œsheโ€™s old.โ€ Instead of admitting โ€œsheโ€™s more aware,โ€ they say โ€œsomething must be wrong with her.โ€ Itโ€™s easier to label a woman than to accept that she chose herself. Being single in your 30s isnโ€™t a failure. Itโ€™s not a moral flaw. Itโ€™s not evidence of bad character. Sometimes itโ€™s just proof that you refused to ruin your life just to meet a deadline someone else set for you. And if that makes people uncomfortableโ€ฆ maybe thatโ€™s the point.

I just want to add that this is envy, not jealousy. Jealousy is the fear of losing something you already have to someone else. Example: a partner, a friendship, status, or attention. Itโ€™s the fear of losing whatโ€™s โ€œyoursโ€ to another. Envy is about wanting something someone else has, especially when you feel you deserve it too or expected to be at a similar place. It is caused by COMPARISON!!! You are envious because youโ€™re watching someone who started the journey with you reach milestones you hoped would happen for you too. About whether this feeling is good or bad? Well, as long as you donโ€™t wish she fails or loses that happiness that you think she has.

I deleted my childhood friendโ€™s number today because I didnโ€™t want to see her WhatsApp status anymore. She seems to be doing well for herself, a stable business, a healthy relationship basically everything. Meanwhile, Iโ€™m on the other end, struggling with almost everything in my life, I know I shouldn't compare but deep down it keeps coming up Iโ€™m genuinely happy for her, but I canโ€™t deny that it stings to see someone we started life together doing better. Does this make me a bad person?

My brother applied for a remote role as a motion graphics designer with a foreign company. He went through the entire process, portfolio review, multiple interviews, revisions, and all the usual hurdles that come with international hiring. Everything went well. Then it was time for the final approval meeting. One simple question came up: โ€œWhich country are you speaking to us from?โ€ The moment he said Nigeria, the atmosphere changed. You could almost feel it through the screen. The conversation wrapped up quickly with the usual line: โ€œWeโ€™ll get back to you.โ€ Later that evening, the rejection mail came โ€œWe canโ€™t proceed at this time.โ€ Just like that, a $1.5k remote opportunity disappeared. Not because of skill. Not because of performance. Just location. Thatโ€™s the painful reality sometimes, the reputation attached to Nigeria often walks into the room before the Nigerian does. Many talented Nigerians are competing globally, doing the work, proving their value, yet still fighting trust barriers they didnโ€™t create. Itโ€™s frustrating, but it also explains why credibility, consistency, and excellence matter even more for Nigerians working in global spaces.

Some people don't know why I get angry when I see Nigerians scamming Foreigners. It puts a dent on other innocent Nigerians because there is a current stereotype that an average young Nigerian is a fraudster or 419. For context, I currently work with someone in America, we were meant to commence a multimillion dollar project in Nigeria. It is meant to be a Multi million dollar humanitarian project to help Nigerians, it involves buying of ambulances, setting mobile hospitals , equipping PHCs, investment in vaccination, medication, providing medical supplies, providing scholarships and more. I am the Medical Director of this project in Africa. Every paper work has been signed , everything has been put to place. But you know what , FBI and other American intelligence agencies requested for all my social handles, and more which I provided... they are currently investigating me and another Nigerian who is also on the project. Of course, we know why they asked that. No international body wants to be a victim when millions of dollars are being commited. This has led to a setback in the project as we await outcome of the FBI investigation. It stalled a lot of things. This is the kind of PR these useless fraudsters are giving us. People will think twice before having you on board for things just to be sure you're legit. It is so sad and annoying.

I deeply appreciate you for reading my thoughts. I've been a writer for over 9 years now (started on WordPress. Com) And I'm trying to find a good way to break down concepts and make psychology fun to consume. It took me over 2 hours to write this post, after researching on the scientists and breaking it down in my psychological tone. . . Would you love to see more breakdowns like this? Kindly let me know and don't forget to stay in touch. I will put in double work to do more of these, if I see it's what majority want to see. I appreciate you once again ๐Ÿซ‚

Let me explain what this means so that you understand better. . Sometimes tiny cells in our stomach get very stubborn and turn into bad guys called cancer. They grow way too fast and don't listen to the body's rules. . But you see, these smart scientists in Korea didn't want to fight them with big scary bombs and bazookas like old medicines do. Instead they sat the cells on a wooden bench and said "Look here you stubborn cells, why don't you just remember who you really are and be good again? . So they made a pretend computer twin of our belly cells. Just like a magic video game version. (something like that sha) so they played around in the game to find the three bossy switches that were making the cells stay stubborn. . . Those three bossy switches have funny names. They are MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2. Fantastic 3 lool . The scientists turned those three mean switches Off. Poof. And just like that guess what? The stubborn cancer cells were like "Ohhhโ€ฆ I remember now! . Then they calmed down, grew up properly, and turned back into nice, normal belly helper cells. No more bad growing. They then tried this in Mice, and the poor mice got better. The bad lumps got smaller because the cells stopped being the bullies they were. It's like telling your barking Dog at home to shusss and calm down. And it actually calms down. . . This isn't ready for humans yet, as it's still developing. But it's going to help out someday. And well, a lot of people are gonna be wayyyy happier. . . . Kudos to the scientists once again and I'm super happy about this development and the positive impact it's going to have on affected people ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ . โœ๏ธ Vincent The Therapist

I just graduated a few weeks ago. I was class rep all through my stay in UI Law so I knew nearly all my classmates on a personal note. The ones who worked every last day just to feed and afford the basics. The ones we had to crowdfund for. The ones who were in and out of hospital and always called to take excuse because while weโ€™re writing yet another test, they canโ€™t make it because they are on a hospital bed for the umpteenth time that semester. The ones who got overwhelmed and depressed. The ones who lost family and/or friends and just couldnโ€™t find their way back. The family men and women who just had other responsibilities and cant give it as much time as the others. And it goes on and onโ€ฆ The most important thing I learnt from being class rep is not leadership or service. It is to give people grace when it comes to these things. There are still those who do not care and just want to graduate with whatever but mehn, more than half the time, life happened and it takes different forms. Leave people alone. Let them celebrate their 2:2 if they want. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT TOOK TO GET THERE! And I really hope you never have to know.

Weโ€™re already 18 days into 2026. If youโ€™re serious about japa but donโ€™t have money, you should have applied to at least 20 scholarships by now. I post scholarships daily on this page, and many are still open. I also run a free WhatsApp group where I mentor people at no cost. We have Q&A sessions every Saturdays and now Sundays, and I personally answer questions. Itโ€™s been great so far. If youโ€™re in the WhatsApp group, share a brief experience there so far, if you want to join, type โ€œIโ€™m interestedโ€

It's amusing how life unfolds. This girl and I shared years of friendship, but the moment she got married, she vanished from my life. I remember actually risking my life to travel all the way from Lagos to Ondo State for her wedding. I was literally starved during my stayโ€”seriously struggled just to grab a plate of food at the reception, and let's not even talk about the downpour I battled both ways. I bought the aso ebi, sewed it up, and even picked out a gift for her. And yet, despite all that, she cut me off without any explanation. Fast forward to today, she messaged me on WhatsApp, I ignored and told our other friend who she cut off too.. It was she who now told me she also messaged her, she replied and they started talking Well, guess who is a divorced mum of one is? ๐Ÿ˜ Life has a funny way of coming full circle!. She abandoned our true friendship for a man and now that the man is nowhere to be found. She came back running. Anyway have blocked her.

Thereโ€™s nothing you need thatโ€™s not available in Nigerian markets, just that the name you are calling it is what they donโ€™t understand. I entered Owode to buy Zip Ties. They all said they donโ€™t have. Thereโ€™s no way I didnโ€™t describe it from shop to shop. I even called it Cable tie. Until someone brought out all she has after I explained and I quickly pointed to it when I saw it. She said โ€œHaa, rubber clip lawa mo si oโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

You people are too funny on this app. ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ€œ1.5m is not enough for a wedding.โ€ โ€œ500k is too small for a photographer.โ€ โ€œWhich makeup artiste will collect 120k for wedding makeup?โ€ Is it that you people cannot imagine a normal wedding thatโ€™s not Instagram-inspired again? Or that thereโ€™s always a vendor that fits the standard the person can afford? Like when you think of weddings, you think of social mediaโ€ฆforgetting that couples living below minimum wage get married every day? Like bruh, before you say โ€œitโ€™s not enough for a weddingโ€, just say โ€œitโ€™s not enough for the kind of wedding in my headโ€ or โ€œ500k is not enough for the photographerI chose in my head.โ€ Whew. People get married with less. Weddings are expensive, very expensive. But affordable weddings are very possibleโ€”and most importantly, theyโ€™re done every week.
