There is nothing like traditional Akwa Ibom men and Neo- akwa ibom men. Every tribe has men that womanize and do all sort of things not only Akwa Ibomites. It’s wrong to accept or suggest that because one or two persons stole in a community then the entire community is that way. If I should borrow your terms, there are a lot of “traditional akwa ibom men who behave way more responsible than your “neo-akwa Ibom men. Simply put, the behavior of a handful of people does not translate to that of the entire community

John Obot, a teacher in Akwa Ibom State this afternoon reached his 145hour mark in his quest to set a new @GWR for longest marathon reading aloud. John had surpassed the current record which stands at 124hours as at yesterday! He will continue to read till 10:00pm tonight. The extra hours is to show the world that Akwa Ibomites don’t crack.

@_PastorUmoEno , the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, yesterday , received the Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, and his team in an audience at the State Executive Council Chambers, Governor's Office, Uyo. The Governor spoke on the need for the Ministry and States making up the region to synergize and collaborate for optimal development.

Akwa Ibom will be 36 on September 23. Today, @aksgovt launched the 36th Anniversary logo to celebrate the state’s anniversary. All organizations undertaking any event in commemoration of the anniversary have been urged to use the logo.
