Got spare change to buy a struggling mobile operator? Grant Thornton, the corporate rescue practitioner for Telecel, is looking for investors for the business. Once Zimbabwe’s number two operator, Telecel has shrunk to less than 2% of mobile subscribers. It carries only 0.02% of phone calls and 0.16% of internet traffic. Its network has just 17 LTE base stations, 0.5% of the market total. Senegal's Président Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko and carried the hopes of young people across Africa; now they are going their separate ways, and it is getting pretty bad. President Faye has indicated he's going to fire Sonko as his Prime Minister if he no longer trusted him, stating that if Sonko "remains prime minister, it is because he retains my confidence. When that is no longer the case, there will be a new prime minister." Faye has now dismissed the spokesperson for the presidency, Ousseynou Ly, an early member of Pastef, to replace him with Abdoulaye Tine, a lawyer and an official of the Diomaye President coalition. But as Ousseynou Ly exits, he pledges allegiance to Sonko, insisiting that his "commitment and loyalty to the transformation project championed by PASTEF, under the leadership of President Sonko, remain unwavering." Ousmane Sonko is the leader of Pastef party.
