Today a friends STX wallet was compromised, leading to a 6 figure loss. However $45k worth of tokens are still not converted into STX. In cases like this it would be super useful to have a blacklist function on major STX DEXes like @VelarBTC and @ALEXLabBTC I know what you think - hear me out. The way this would work is that when logging in with your wallet at the given DEX the wallet is checked against a 'blacklist wallet tracker'. If the wallet is blacklisted you can't swap (this could be integrated in @LeatherBTC and @xverse Of course the hacker could simply send the tokens to a fresh wallet, so what we would need here is some tracking magic: 1.) Hacked wallet or hacker receiving wallet is submitted 2.) Background check on every block if an outgoing tx is being made. If yes, add the receiving wallet to the tracker. It's a simple but effective solution for the whole ecosystem. In todays hack, the hacker owns very big chunks of @memecoinstx , @FlatEarthDev and other coins - basically holding those coins hostage because nobody would buy them when the hacker sits on 4% or more of the total supply. Decentralization is cool, until it isn't. Yes you can blame the wallet owner, but the more our ecosystem grows, the more situations like this we will have. It doesn't hurt only the compromised person - but the whole community who has invested in STX related coins. I would be happy to fund all developing costs for such a tracker, if all parties agree to implement it. Details to avoid misusage can be discussed. I hope thats something we can achieve ASAP.
