Mr. Carroll is back in the men’s prison he should never have left, and it only cost three women the injury of being raped for the state to figure that out. You claim to care about poor women — do you care about the incarcerated woman impregnated during her prison term? They’ll take her baby when it’s born, too — so the trauma affects a second generation. This is not an isolated incident. Incarcerated women are incredibly vulnerable to sexual abuse, even when they aren’t knowingly locked in cells with a convicted male sex offender whom guards know raped his last two cellmates. Oh — and to make matters worse, the judge has decreed that the victims must referred to Mr. Carroll as “she.” You claim to be a feminist, and yet you have turned your back on perhaps the most vulnerable population of women in the Western world. Wanted to share: be wary of pet food too. Most nutritional studies on pets are funded by big corporations, so solid info is hard to come by. Example: Cats shouldn’t eat dry food - it puts them in the state of chronic dehydration, which pushes them toward kidney failure faster (and other issues). They’re built to get most of their water from food and have a low thirst drive. I worked in a huge private vet hospital for 10 years, was around lots of vets. Only heard one vet EVER mention this to owners or staff. He had a special interest in proper nutrition while all others took what the food reps said at face value.

They’re not coming after our pets in an overt way. Of course not. They’re making vaccinations for our pets mandatory for everything: Boarding Training Travel. THEN, our pets get sick. Young. And since private equity is buying up all the vet hospitals & clinics, the cost of treating your pet is in the thousands. Often for minor procedures. So we deplete our savings; we put it on credit cards, until our options run out, and we no longer have the funds to maintain their health that the vaccines & treatments caused. THAT’S how they’re coming after our pets.

When the machine removes the need for your labor, that belief does not update. It breaks. The people least prepared for that moment are the ones who worked the hardest. The ones who took the most pride in being indispensable. The ones who made work the whole answer. Losing the job is survivable. Losing the reason to get up is not. That is what Musk is actually asking. Not how do we pay people. How do we build a world where people still feel like they matter when the economy no longer needs them. Nobody in power is seriously working on that answer. The machine didn’t wait.
