The Relic : First Guardian - First impressions ( received 2 patches) 🔸Plays well on PS5, no performance issues in 2 hours. 🔸Combat feels fluid, parry lands but parry doesn't give you much advantage. 🔸You can break enemies posture but their is no posture bar. 🔸I think there are 8 weapons to unlock and upgrade. 🔸The goal of the game is to find the lost relics and use it to your advantage as your progress. 🔸 Game seems to be of decent size, 2 hours 3 bosses down, 77 more to go. 🔸interaction actions feels unresponsive, takes a second for modal to pop-up. 🔸Played 3 bosses so far and didn't die even once, so I don't know how challenging it is going to be. 🔸 Protagonist narrates some key story elements while you are playing and you can cancel it or interact with anything else when the narration is in progress. 🔸Parry and dodge feels nice. You unlock more skills with shards you obtain in your skill tree. 🔸Fighting bosses or quests doesn't feel very rewarding. You get some in-game items which I have not used yet. Devs are still working on more patches to further improve the game but I feel the devs should have done the demo to get the feedback before the launch.

1/3 🖥️ What Sony and the PlayStation team fail to understand is that they are a video game console, not a PC. They cannot compete with Steam sales. No one wants to be locked into a video game digital-only ecosystem where they cannot trade or sell games. That's PC territory.

Can someone tell me what's the incentive of staying with PS once PS6 is out? Like, seriously. Explain to me what PS offers to consumers that we can't find anywhere else (aside from 2 exclusive games every 3 years). There's literally nothing they offer that's beneficial to us.

The Relic: First Guardian has good combat, and the wandering and exploration are genuinely fun. The game does not rely on grinding, which makes the progression feel more enjoyable. It definitely has issues, and it is not a game for everyone, but the foundation is strong. So far, I’m enjoying it more than Code Vein 2. It gives me a similar feeling to Enotria: The Last Song, with a unique atmosphere, a world that is interesting to discover, and a lot of potential to become a great game.

Sony CFO Lin Tao says player backlash over PlayStation ending physical disc production in 2028 has had no impact on their business so far! "At this point in time we are not seeing any impact on our business, as of now. But going forward, about the contents sales, a large part is already digitized. The Relic : First Guardian reviews are out ~ 55 between PC and PS5. In short - It tries to do a lot of things but fails to nail them all down. Combat is the only shining light so far. A lot of potential in the game but needs polishing. Devs have already announced a big Day 1 patch to improve performance, VA and many bugs.

PLAYSTATION LOST MY LOYALTY THE MOMENT IT STOPPED SELLING OWNERSHIP I would have bought Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 because I was committed to supporting PlayStation. Instead, it was included with Game Pass, so I played it on Xbox. The same will happen with Beast of Reincarnation and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. That is three PlayStation sales lost. But price is not the real problem. These releases are digital-only, meaning I am not buying something I can physically own, preserve, lend, resell or place permanently in my collection. I am paying full price for a revocable license connected to an account, while Sony’s own terms reserve the right to discontinue digital access and delete data it considers dormant. So why should I pay PlayStation full price for temporary digital permission when Xbox includes the same game in a subscription I already have? I supported PlayStation because I believed in building a PlayStation collection. A digital license is not a collection. It is permission. And I am no longer paying extra for permission. PlayStation did not lose me to Xbox exclusives. It lost me because Xbox offered better value while PlayStation asked for loyalty without offering ownership.
