I was 22 when I signed for my student loans. I didn’t fully understand interest. I just knew I needed the degree to get the job to build the life. So I signed. Now I’m in my 30s. I’ve paid $400 every single month without missing one. I’ve sacrificed vacations, a newer car, a bigger place. And my balance has barely moved. I did what they told me to do. I went to school. I got the degree. I got the job. I pay my bills. And I am still drowning in the same debt I had at 22. Nobody warned me it would be like this. Nobody.

My doctor was always 45 mins late, every visit. No apology it’s just "Take a seat." Last time I waited 1 hour 20 mins then I left. Then wrote a google review. I wasn’t mean but just honest: "Always late, brings a book."2 stars. He called me that night from his personal cell. "You think I'm late because I don't respect your time?" I said "...yes?"

@coachprburkhead I believe there were acl tears prior. As I know many. Is there an increase maybe? Sport specialization and issue were athletes dont play multiple sports and may not experience different forms of movement?

Need some input from other coaches out there. I honestly don’t recall anyone ever tearing an ACL when I was in HS (mid-2000s). Why are they so prevalent now? My two theories: No one rides bikes No one jumps on trampolines. Or could it be the playing surfaces?

@Wendi_Irlbeck Agree 100% on this. Select/travel sports are a scam. It used to be the elite kids played on those teams now any kid can be on them if their parents can pay the fees. I coached rec softball for girl 4th thru 7th. Weirdly a good percentage moved on to their high school teams

Youth sports is on life support. If you think it’s fine, you’re not paying attention. Kids age 10-12 are playing way too many tournaments and travel ball. Parents treat it like the World Series. They need less travel, more rest, fueling, and actual development. They’re 12 YO. The data backs it up: ❌70% of kids drop out of organized sports by age 13. ❌Professionalization (year-round single-sport focus, heavy travel/tournaments) drives overuse injuries, overtraining, and burnout. ❌Nearly 1 in 10 youth athletes experience burnout; up to 35% deal with overtraining. ❌Early specialization before 12-13 raises injury and burnout risks significantly. Multi-sport kids who rest and play for fun stick around longer and develop better. Let them be kids. Prioritize recovery, fun, and long-term health over trophies. The best athletes often sample multiple sports early and specialize later. Who else sees this?

This is outrageous.. Not a single person on my flight is masked up while we’re in the middle of a double pandemic (Covid + Hantavirus). I politely informed the flight attendant that this is a super spreader event. She just shrugged and walked away. I've already filed a formal complaint with the FAA and CDC. This is reckless and cannot stand. Masks save lives, the science is settled on that.
