😳 I don’t even need to turn the volume up. I already know that this is a story of bad life choices, but here we go. Mom with neck skull tattoos, face piercings & full sleeves films this raw car rant: ‘No facility in my entire state will take my daughter! Her teen is too violent with too many legal issues. Mom filed ‘beyond parental control’ charges TWICE. Nothing happened. Daughter refuses therapy, terrorizes her little sister, and gets kicked out of everywhere. Mom blames the system, courts, insurance, and ‘they won’t help me.’ This isn’t ‘the system failing her.’ This is the direct result of her own life choices destroying her kids’ futures. The other children are paying the price for mom’s chaos. When do we admit that bad parenting has consequences? Kids don’t deserve to inherit this.

nobody talks about how weird it is being ~kinda~ suicidal. it’s not like you plan on doing it but everything just feels heavy and exhausting and you wouldn’t mind if something happened but on the other hand you can’t go because you have pets and loved ones. do i make sense.

You would think 10yrs would be long enough to gain the humility to realize you have no right to be the arbiter of anyone’s recovery but yours

Sorsby’s decision to get help can’t be lost in this story. None of this could have been easy for him, the school or the program, but to acknowledge it in spite of what it could cost them could help others with similar problems and addictions.

This Seattle Portland video really surprised me. Not the tents everyone sees on the streets, but the ones most drivers pass right over. At the same time, Multnomah County reported 372 people died while homeless in 2024. That is down from 456 the year before, but still far too many. Unsheltered people are dying at six times the rate of everyone else, often from overdoses, exposure, or violence, decades before their time. Moments like this video matter because spotting these concealed spots lets outreach teams actually reach the most isolated folks. It creates a chance to connect them with shelters, treatment, or housing before it is too late. Living underground is not a solution. It is a deadly trap.Portland has spent billions on this crisis yet people keep vanishing into the cracks. What actually works? Stronger street outreach to the hidden areas? Clearing encampments paired with mandatory help for addiction and mental health? Something else?
