@blondebobje @thescottbarber Typical. Are you from Missouri?
Do your own research and then you get back to us with a book report, eh sport?
English

@thescottbarber Except in the tweet referenced, you are just making stuff up so you can communicate your hatred of a group you don't like.
Name the church, the specific one that does what you say they're doing. Show evidence.

How about "disgust and horror" on day one of Trump's presidency?
Aaron Rupar@atrupar
Bret Baier says he's been told to expect "shock and awe" on day one of Trump's presidency

@AnnaGorisch @GabeBlessing Then quit your complaining about Trump. Embrace the suck!
The move is for companies to pull in more profit. Second and third order bad effects will multiply.
English

@AnnaGorisch WHAT DID YOU VOTE FOR??
The companies for decades have drained US manufacturing jobs to other countries, and now US technical jobs are being proposed to be lost by bringing large number of workers here? We have a capable workforce, but now cost too much and eating at profits!
English

@RachelBitecofer If by high end job described a low number of positions, then Rachel's, and others, may have passed the smell test.
Unfortunately, they are talking about wholesale hires, including new hires. We now have NO ONE able to do the jobs???
Rachel is LYING THRU HER BACKSIDE ORIFICE.
English

@RachelBitecofer There are two falsehoods in this tweet:
1. Businesses, if set up, for one individual to carry other technical team members to "success" is not a good business model.
2. you are FOS that American talent cannot do high end jobs; companies don't want to get into a bidding war.

Texas public schools have grappled with soaring costs for utilities, insurance, and fuel, alongside an unprecedented teacher shortage. Despite these challenges, the Texas Legislature has not increased the Basic Allotment—the primary mechanism for funding public education—since 2019.
This stagnation has led to significant budget deficits across many districts, forcing some to consider program cuts, layoffs, and even school closures.
In the upcoming legislative session, with the state projecting a substantial surplus, there is a critical opportunity to address these funding shortfalls. #txed advocates are urging #txlege to increase the Basic Allotment to match current inflation rates and to implement automatic adjustments to keep pace with future inflation.
The question remains: Will the Texas Legislature seize this unprecedented opportunity to provide the necessary funding for our public schools?

@FakaktaSouth Gator sister? Did you do some trash talking about her family?
English

Last night I explained to a homeschool mom how God had led me to public activism which, among other factors, made homeschooling an impractical option for my family.
She responded by using a lot of sugary sweet language to tell me that my obedience to God was a mistake because my true job was to be at home educating my children.
I basically told her to pound sand- not because my ego can’t handle a dissenting opinion but because I think this particular brand of spiritual manipulation is actually kind of evil, and I’m tired of watching God’s daughters find shame where they should be finding encouragement.
We are sidelining half of God’s army with this crap and then wondering why the world is struggling. I’ve seen so many women crumble beneath the weight of someone else’s expectations for their lives. No one thrives when these decisions are made from a place of guilt. There MUST be ample space carved out for the Holy Spirit to lead WHEREVER He will.
Anyway, now I get to be the bad guy for drawing boundaries with the sugary sweet woman who had wrapped a brick in velvet and thrown it at my face.
“Why are you being so unkind when she was just nicely sharing a differing opinion?” they ask.
The answer is that I will never play nice with people who bind women’s consciences and use spiritual manipulation to clip their wings.

@masonmennenga the husband 's faith covers the wife and kids? Is that biblical Christianity?
English

@beingmarcusb @masonmennenga Definitely not if you and Dale seek these to be Gospel.
Jesus would also have an issue if a scribe like yourself is trying to unnecessarily building guardrails to Him. Parable of Good Samaritan is also about blind faith in rules, secondary ones, to get close to God.
English

@LibTheoPodcast What about men of the cloth doing the same things? Shouldn't they know better?
English

@DougWahl1 Nope. Embrace the suck. You thought it was funny to screw over other people while given a hand up. Now you sit with us while getting screwed over. Thanks!

@gfbmojito @Miriam2626 It isn't worse now than back then, but rather people feel more entitled and are able to use the web to amplify their angry message.
I have kids and nephews/nieces, as well as kids; and none were felt left out. Costs, distance from home, family ties, religion, etc are important.
English

@Miriam2626 Total baloney. It’s way worse now / you clearly don’t have kids or know anyone trying to get into an elite school.

I went to college when affirmative action was at its height. I was not considered a minority. My goal was to attend U of TX Law School, ranked 11th at the time. I didn’t party. And I got into UTLaw. While most of my white friends partied for 3 years and blamed AA when they didn’t get into UT Law.
