Tyler Perry is firing back at Mario Rodriguez, denying claims he’s dodging a deposition where Rodriguez planned to ask about his sexual orientation.
Perry says he already agreed to sit for the deposition and accuses Rodriguez of using the motion to pressure him after he turned down a multi-million dollar settlement offer.
Rodriguez had asked the court to sanction Perry over the no-show, arguing the orientation questions were relevant to the assault claims.
Perry’s team pushed back hard, calling that theory a “bigoted stereotype” and saying it wrongly implies a man attracted to men is more likely to have assaulted another man.
Perry is now asking the court to sanction Rodriguez $7,300 for what he calls an abuse of the discovery process.
Rodriguez is suing Perry for $77 million over sexual assault allegations. Case is ongoing.

Boosie Badazz paid $600K to political operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman to lobby for a presidential pardon on a felon-in-possession gun charge.
Burkman’s team allegedly told Boosie’s lawyer a pardon had been signed by Trump — it hadn’t, and no such application even appears to have reached the White House.
Boosie is now in arbitration trying to recoup half the fee under a refund clause in their contract, which Burkman’s firm disputes.
• The contract itself was riddled with errors, including a refund deadline dated before the contract was even signed.
• Wohl and Burkman repeatedly invoked names — Laura Loomer, Erika Kirk, etc. as having endorsed or helped with the pardon; several of those people or their offices denied any involvement when NOTUS asked.
• Burkman and Wohl have a history of political stunts and a 2022 guilty plea over an illegal robocall campaign targeting Black voters, which left them facing millions in fines — cited as the reason they say they can’t refund Boosie.
• A White House official told NOTUS the pair “had nothing to do” with the one pardon they do claim credit for, and warned their involvement would “actively harm” a client’s chances.
• Boosie ultimately got 10 days served and 3 years supervised release in January, didn’t get a pardon, and is now facing possible revocation of that release.

• Ye soldout a 60K capacity venue
• 'Braxton Family Values' might be the greatest reality show ever. [Never watched before.] It’s so intense, with laughs, love, and anxiety, never knowing if a small argument will turn into a huge blowup.
• #LoveIsland sucked.
