@usamom64 @M_Dorgan this was the most idiotic piece of reporting I have ever read. Why don't you get out of your chair and come talk to people in rural VA that are trying to protect their homes and farms. @BlockValleyLink

🚨WATCH: A proposed 115 mile long high voltage transmission line would go through Virginia farmland and homeowners’ front and back yards in around nine counties to power data centers in Northern Virginia. I spoke with concerned home owners, families, and farmers about the project. They feel this is so unfair and it would be devastating to them if the SCC approves the project. The proposed transmission line is 765 kV, the highest voltage transmission line in America. It would stand 135-165 feet tall. Details: wjla.com/news/local/hig…

To be crystal clear, I’m not suggesting anyone dust off the muskets—just noting the exquisite, almost poetic timing and irony of the day. #blockvalleylink

blissfully unaware that the proposed route runs straight over his left shoulder. At the very same moment, the good citizens of Culpeper County and beyond were peacefully voicing their opposition to this monstrosity at the board of supervisors meeting.

The irony last Tuesday was almost too on-the-nose. Chris Miller of the Piedmont Environmental Council delivered his rousing speech at the press conference, solemnly crowning the Valley Link transmission line’s bulldoze route as Virginia’s #1 most endangered area.

🚨 New: Dominion Energy and Valley Link are facing pushback on a proposed 115 mile long high voltage transmission line to provide power to data centers in Northern Virginia. It would span nine counties, starting in Lynchburg and ending in Culpeper County. I’ve spoken with concerned homeowners in Orange and Spotsylvania Counties about how the line would rip through their homes, farmland, and property. Tonight---ahead of an important board of supervisors meeting Tuesday---I spoke with residents in Culpeper County who live by the proposed 88 acre substation in Richardsville. The Culpeper County Board of Supervisors is hosting Dominion Energy for a presentation. The meeting is happening Tuesday May 19th at 6:30 pm. Residents in the impacted nine counties are expected to attend the meeting in Culpeper because the Board of Supervisors could block it if enough people speak out.

Well, now we know why the Orange County Data Center ordinance has no teeth—and we owe a huge debt to one gutsy private citizen, Sarah Regan, for blowing the lid off it. youtu.be/n-8tcwe-Q3Y

@johnrich @NickMinock Yes there are, and that was their original plan until they completely flipped in Feb and sprung this monstrosity on us. They are unabashedly crossing the James at Thomas Jefferson’s boyhood home!

@NickMinock Are there alternative paths to take? Existing easements that aren't being considered?

@johnrich John, we have a nine county barn fire here in rural Virginia. The Valley Link transmission line is looking to seize 2,700+ acres of rural farms, ranches and historic properties. The folks you helped with the TVA are being repeated 100 fold. Please help!

If you're a landowner, and your land is being targeted by any entity, whether state/local/energy company, etc...Fill out a detailed report at USDA.Gov/lawfare There is a team looking at every report to determine what can be done. We must protect American farm/ranch land.
