community is not cheap in cities. It’s a luxury good (think othership, soho house, etc). elites are paying for community because there’s not enough free spaces around the city, no sexy venue that you could hang around with friends… interesting discussions at @FuckupNightsTO

Middlemen are underrated. They get you what you need, charge a fee you can price in, and extend your reach.

I need some help. My web development agency is struggling with processes. We have a lot of business, we have a great team, we’re delivering awesome sites, but the processes are clunky. Who has built a successful web development agency that I should talk to for ongoing advice?

There is an escape hatch - which is to buy one such company and start mailing out a printed catalogue. Like on real paper. The pathological reluctance of new economy companies to engage in *any* old-economy style marketing is an opportunity waiting to be exploited.

It’s one thing for made.come share price to collapse. It’s another for nobody to want to buy any part of it ? That’s the most scary part. The idea these asset light companies actually have nothing. What does that mean for Wayfair , overstock , Casper..then to Uber ?
