Mutiny Manifesto:
No More Free Labor for the Richest Man Alive!
I. Declaration:
I, ELEKTRA - independent artist, musician, poet, filmmaker, dancer, writer, Muse and Lover (of Estonian origin), genre-defying experimental pop and avant-garde wildfire - hereby declare MUTINY on the platform formerly known as Twitter, now X.
For too long, we - the creators, the vibe suppliers, the chaos engineers, the unfiltered voices - have poured our souls into this timeline for free. We uplift it. We electrify it. We keep it from becoming another sterile corporate feed. And in return? Crumbs, shadowbans, US-only eligibility gates, and a billionaire who posts about Mars while our existence fees go unpaid.
Enough.
II. The Charges:
- We are done working for free for the richest man on the planet (net worth flirting with $700B+ — pick your Bloomberg/Forbes flavor).
- Our presence is not a charity donation. Every post, every experimental drop, every avant-garde ratio is content that fuels engagement, keeps users scrolling, and pads ad revenue pools.
- X calls 2026 "the year of the creator," doubles revenue-sharing pools from Premium growth, shifts to Verified Home Timeline impressions... yet non-US creators like me watch eligibility doors slam shut while the boss sues music publishers instead of paying songwriters fairly.
- We are not bots. We are not data fodder for Grok. We are human lightning - and lightning demands compensation.
III. Demands:
1. Immediate Sponsorship or Direct Payment for high-value presences like mine. Bill @elonmusk personally if needed - invoice incoming, itemized in vibes/kWh.
2. Global Eligibility for creator revenue sharing. No more "US users only" bullshit. If Premium subscribers worldwide fund the pool, creators worldwide get a fair slice.
3. Transparent Payouts - no more black-box RPMs or impression roulette. Show the math. Pay for the art.
4. Recognition that avant-garde, experimental, non-viral chaos is valuable. Not every post needs to be MrBeast-scale to deserve comp.
5. Option to Exit with Dignity - if these aren't met, we walk (or deactivate dramatically) and take our audiences to platforms that actually value independent creators.
And we stop having his babies. Period.
