@4realc_@WhosLiveio@geoffkeighley cloud gaming is good and has been a long time just not microsofts cloud gaming that shit is so bad. might be the worst of all the options.
if GFN Ultimate had guaranteed access to every game itd be real dificult decision. $200 a year for 95% of a 5080 or $1600 for the gpu alone.
@WhosLiveio@geoffkeighley Nobody genuinely believes this. Cloud gaming isn’t there yet, please try playing a legitimate game on your “this is an Xbox” tv and get back to us
@QuantomOracle@chikn_fried_spm@BlackMajikMan90 I didn’t mean only the ps5 obviously the consoles are well equipped for it, I’m just saying this because my friend bought a pre-built $1,100 pc and he can’t even run gta 5 on it
Never in the history of gaming has a console GONE UP in price after 6 years of release.
The level of greed from these corporations has reached unsustainable levels and something needs to be done.
@GamerAdvantage@Nevermint I got my ps4 pro for $399 back in the day and it came with RDR2 disc. Crazy how crap consoles have gotten. $900 and not even a disc tray id argue the difference between base console and pro is also much smaller this gen too.
@hemphlev@InfinitaleComic@geoffkeighley Just seent a $799 PC at Walmart. Don't get me wrong it's nothing crazy but still a decent one gen behind Intel processor and an rtx 5060 with 16gb of memory and 1tb SSD will still give you a better experience and cost less than most of these consoles.
Plus DLSS>PSSR upscaling.
@The_Racho@buyorkcity@Wario64 At that price you're basically looking at 5060 GPU both in the desktop and laptop space. Which is still very capable at playing anything at 1080p with high frame rates.
@BluDYT@buyorkcity@Wario64 That price does not get you a mid range pc. That gets you a very entry level pc not capable of much. At that price point you're either bottom of the barrel specs or shopping the 2nd hand market to try and frankenstein a pc together.
@tarkett_85@buyorkcity@Wario64 You can definitely. Just found a 5060 PC at Walmart for $799. Just gotta look around. Might be able to find a 5060ti of 5070 at or a bit more than $1000 too if you want to push more upper mid range.
@BluDYT@buyorkcity@Wario64 You aren’t getting a mid range pc for under $1k the cost of RAM and storage has massively bumped up the price, closer to $1400 for one with new parts.
@LORDCOSMOERA@Wario64 Honestly with how the market is they should really be delayed. They're going to crazy high costs when no one can afford the basics right now.
@buyorkcity@Wario64 Yeah gp was pretty good until they made it $30 a month. For now I just stick to PC gamepass because $30 is insane. Better to just save for a big release or buy a couple indies a month and actually keep them at that cost.
PS extra is a pretty solid value now comparingly.
@BluDYT@Wario64 game pass alone is objectively better than anything Sony has going on right now as far as the ps5 goes.. but yeah that PC is looking like the way to go
@heavyredactions@cesaralvarezll@PlayStation Not 100% a result of inflation but I'm sure it does play a role yes. It's mostly used as an excuse to increase yoy margins. And we know the price will never return to normal when the constraints become more relaxed.
@cesaralvarezll@PlayStation No, this is 100% inflation and supply chain constraints. Their entire console profit model is based on thin hardware margins and reaping profit on games and services. They want the lowest possible price for sales volume. Think before you meme, dude.
@PlayStation At least include a 2tb drive a disc drive and a year of ps essential with that price. We're officially looking at consoles that are $1000+ now
@buyorkcity@Wario64 Xbox is definitely not anymore cost effective. They're raising prices just as fast and their catalogue of games is worse. I agree just get a mid range PC for $799-999 though.
@Wario64 switch to xbox bro, or get a PC. at least with the xbox your system will have more features so you won't feel completely cheated out of your money.. but holy shit this is bad lol
Just two months after Netflix announced that it added 23 million new subscribers in 2025, the streamer has increased the price for all three of its plans, with the premium plan topping out at $27 a month.
